Set in the heart of Uppermill Saddleworth just off the track for the Main Street next to the church! The quality of the cakes they make is amazing a bit more expensive than I would usually pay but worth the treat ! The lay out is amazing, staff are fantastic, I asked questions & the lady new everything! Milkshake top quality , the slabs of cake very filling dare you to eat two slices ! Enjoy the pictures & take a visit your self ! Very child friendly & dog friendly!

Absolutely love it here. Whenever we go to uppermill we pop in for a coffee and a bite to eat. Has an amazing decor inside and the staff are super. Lots to eat and drink and the way the room is set out makes it feel very social. Ideal for families and has access for people with disabilities. Does not offer parking but there is a free long stay car park just 5 minute walk up the road. Highly recommend everyone visits this place is going to uppermill.

Visited here over half term after spotting on Instagram that they were serving treacle scones. As it is a 30min drive up to Saddleworth, I sent a message on Instagram asking if they could put 2 scones aside for us and I was messaged back quickly saying that they would. Really appreciate that! Beautiful space to sit and enjoy a coffee. The treacle scones were well worth the drive, so good! Customer service was excellent! We'll be back up.

A good atmosphere, people there with well behaved dogs and children ha. It’s nicely decorated and put me in mind of an old school hall or community centre. I was kindly given a voucher for my birthday so went for afternoon tea. Very pricey and loads of it, the staff even said they had never known anyone finish it. I would have been happy with a cheaper priced and fewer cakes and sandwiches so that I could perhaps finish it. I had never been before and was surprised to find that they have been open a while because the service seemed like the staff were having teething problems. I would definitely have returned in the future if it was all new but seeing as they are established and still having issues that should have been ironed out with training at the start of setting up their business makes me wonder if I will ever return (I doubt it). The staff couldn’t make their mind up if it is table service or counter service. When asked what tea they had we were told “all of them”. No menus given so I used my phone to look up on their website at what teas they had. An impressive display of sandwiches and cakes came to our table and I swear other customers had food envy. Now I have taken afternoon tea in many places and for various prices and the one thing that they did on every occasion is explain what everything is but not here. We knew what we were eating upon tasting it. We were told to ask for hot water to top up the tea when we wanted it. We asked someone who said they would bring water and then didn’t. I eventually got up to ask at the counter who said they would bring it over, they did but it wasn’t enough for the two of us so I had to get up and bring more myself. My biggest criticism (and the reason I thought it was teething problems that they were having) is that nobody appeared to be working the room. By that I mean scanning the tables to clear them. The biggest no no for me in any restaurant, cafe, bar or pub is when the customer has to clean their own table before they can eat their food. The people next to us went to the counter for the cloth and spray to clean up before their food was ordered. No No… definite No No. The staff there are lovely, very polite but I think they could do with some strong leadership, I reckon they work hard but don’t work smart. My reviews are usually positive and upbeat and it’s taken me a while to decide to write a review for here but Google maps kept asking me to. Go along, enjoy it but I doubt very much that I will...

I'm not one for reviews, but was really impressed with this place so here goes. Was pretty full when we got there, but managed to get sat at the bar. Nice tunes on (Ezra collective). The place is a stunning old hall sympathetically refurbished and restored. A super nice young guy took our drinks order and gave us a few mins to decide on food. he also told us the special. The coffee was one of the nicest I've had - smooth and served at the perfect drinkable temp. Also, from taste clearly use locally sourced proper fresh milk. we even got offered a table of we fancied after one or two became available we ordered the avo and poached on toast and the mushroom melt and poached egg. Both were absolutely perfect and came within 10/15 mins which is excellent for freshly cooked quality food. Very reasonably priced for a nice place in uppermill. Nice chilled vibe and outside space looks lovely also. Everything seemed incredibly smooth, relaxed and under control. We will be back and I highly...

Not usually one to write reviews but today was exceptional. Always great good, service etc. Today I went in late afternoon with my friends after returning from a hospital appointment. I was tired and hungry. I ordered Welsh rarebit on toast only to be told apologetically a few minutes later that unfortunately the kitchen was closed now. Disappointed, but I understood and I agreed to have a scone. My friend explained that I was recovering from knee surgery etc etc and a couple of minutes later the lovely guy came back to tell me that they were going to make what I wanted in the kitchen. They were all smiling. Such kindness going over and above. I was so so touched. Thank you, to all concerned. What fab staff you are. And the Welsh rarebit and egg was delicious. Kindness really does make the world go around. Ten stars all...
