We met a friend here for lunch as it was near to them. Upon arrival it looks like a really nice little pub from the outside. Inside there is hand sanitiser for guests and the pub is currenty operating a table service. The pub inside is very cosy and the atmosphere relaxing. I would definitely recommend booking a table. We had drinks to start, the choices were good and the drinks themselves Crisp and refreshing. Our food order shortly followed and it wasn't long to wait before we had it. Our starters were the fish patè and the liver patè with caramelised onions on toasted bread. Lip smackingly delicious! For mains we ordered fish in beer batter and chips. The fish was crispy on the outside and well cooked. The fish was cooked perfectly and the chips were chunky and well cooked. The serlion steak was cooked as requested and the cheese and onion pie was delicious. Deserts were cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. All were cooked well and presented well. The ice cream served with the sticky toffee was also delicious (especially the caramel ice cream!) The only thing I can say about the food served here was the main courses are big! Not always a bad thing but I bet between the 3 of us there was a portion of chips wasted, and we really tried! Overall a really pleasant afternoon and would have liked to have spent...
Read moreAverage local pub frequented by regular local drink drivers who's dangerous parking and driving on Wool road leaves a lot to be desired. Once inside it's a dark dank old fashioned small and compact pub. Which had long been in need upgrading and renovation for many years. To make things worse it's run by a landlady who's unfriendly and frequently miserable looking. Welcoming she is not. The Landlady can often be seen looking out the pubs windows giving dirty looks to passers-by, be it local people who live on the same street, people stood at the nearby bus stop or unsuspecting tourists-at least she doesn't discriminate! Judging by the smell of the deep fat fryers- when sat in the makeshift former car park / beer garden. The deep fat fryers can often be smelt outside even up on sugar lane, I suspect the kitchens are equally lacking and as grubby as the rest of the pub. Fridays a strong fried fish odour surrounds the in vicinity of the Navi! Go and try this place it'll definitely be an experience to tell...
Read moreWe walked up to 'Pots'n'Pans, and booked a table for two, the landlady took our order and was very friendly, and welcomed us when we arrived. It was a little difficult to find a place to park but I managed it. The Pub inside is lovely, and clean with lovely seating and cushions, and the tables are well spaced, the bar area is really clean and accessible, the staff are really helpful and well trained. The food was excellent, I had lamb cutlet, which was cooked to perfection in a lovely creamy sauce, very well seasoned and presented, my Sister had the Sunday roast and that is the best Sunday roast that either of us has seen or tasted, the meat was cooked to perfection and melts in the mouth, and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely visit again, The Navigation is in a lovely setting, and I can highly...
