Valentino — Restaurant in Oldham

We popped in for lunch with our 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son. The proprietor could not have been more accommodating. Our eldest wanted pizza with peppers and "sausage" (she meant pepperoni) so he made exactly what she asked for. Nothing was too much trouble, he got us a high chair as soon as we came in, found somewhere to store the pram, cut the pizza in half and split it between 2 plates for the little ones to share and took the time to let her ask for dessert., rather than ignore her and talk to us as many people do with small children.

She is very intuitive and doesn't trust people easily but she gave him a high five for a good pizza - a high honour indeed!

We will certainly go back and treat Nanny and Grampy when we can. Superior service and excellent food.

A big thank you to Seb and staff at Valentino’s for looking after us at all of our meetings and our big event in May. Nothing is too much trouble and the restaurant has started to feel like home!

The function room is perfect for our meetings and we love eating before too. The food is always great.

The catering for our event was first class too. We had a film launch with a buffet for about 50 people. Pizzas and pasta were cooked continuously over the evening to ensure everything was fresh and hot. No one left hungry! Seb was happy for us to decorate the room (and outside!) for the occasion.

Valentino’s is a gem. Small and cosy. It feels like going to an Italian family for dinner.

Fantastic rustic food sourced from Italy, the owner & head chef is friendly and accommodating. They'll make you feel at home and will even offer dishes off-menu on request, if you do this just be sure to give them some advance warning to allow time to get the ingredients in, especially for larger numbers! Fewer and fewer restaurants offer this level of personalised 'old-school' service now so it's all the more appreciated at Valentino's.
