I have never left a bad review about food in my entire 34year life but I feel so robbed and disgusted. Just had the WORST food I have EVER tasted! Asked for two pathia curries - clearly they have no idea what this dish is let alone cook it, but rather than be honest, they must have decided to give it a go. We received two trays of what tasted like sour chopped tinned tomatoes with a sprinkle of coriander to make it look pretty. It was vile - I have never tasted food as bad- my sister compared it to Aldi cheapest jar of tomato pasta sauce but I personally think that's much more flavoursome! What you served us last night was a complete and utter insult, not only to us but to proper Indian/Persian curries! And don't get me started on the onion bhajis and vegetable pakora, if you could even call them that... It took us a while to work out what they were as they were soaked thoroughly in grease- more like giant soggy balls of dough! Even the salad was rubbish - not fresh, the tomatoes were like tasteless mush. How does anyone get a salad so wrong?? The only thing that was nice was the veg samosas!! The mint sauce was bland too... Just very disappointing when you are starving and spend a lot of money on food that's inedible!!! I will never ever spend another penny here again and will never recommend it. Was my first time trying it too, I can't believe people pay to sit and eat that then come back. I urge you to try other restaurants like Indian Ocean! An apology or even money back would be nice because what you served last night was...

We were here tonight 8 of us (4 adults, 4 children) ( This is our 4th visit ) We were warmly greeted and shown to our table by a lovely member of waiting on staff.
We were asked if we would like some drinks, they were served promptly by a lovely member of waiting on staff.
Our order was taken around 10 minutes after sitting down and was served within around 30 minutes by a lovely member of waiting on staff.
All the food was of an excellent quality, presented beautifully and by really lovely members of waiting on staff.
We were welcomed, seated, served with drinks and food and had a really lovely (nearly) couple of hours and would highly recommend visiting.
In regards to the negative reviews, Put it this way, when we arrived at 5pm (it opens at 5pm) there were only us and 4 other people seated, when we left at around 6.45pm, IT WAS PACKED !!! Food and service can’t be that bad can it !! 🙄😏

All in all, we had another lovely meal here at Westwood East and will always eat here as a treat because it’s always...
Read moreRestaurant was busy on Saturday night, so was made to wait for a table for 10, we tried the 5 courses for 9.99, which included popadums and chutney, starter, main, side/accompanies, ice cream or coffee. Service was slow, waiters didn't wait on the table they had to.be called over a few times even then didn't seem bothered. Starters were fine, curries were ' Asian style' so spicy and strong in flavour. Kids were getting fussy when we asked one of the waiters what wa s taking so long for the ice cream he said there was none and a waiter had gone to Aldi to pick some up. He shrugged his shoulder, chewed paan and walked off when asked why we was told as we wouldn't have waited around. They knocked off a fiver from our bill which added to the unsatisfactory service. Westwood East is usually a decent nice place to dine but last night wasnt there best and based on that experience I wouldn't recommend it, as service and attitude wasnt...
