It’s good not amazing but very good. I had the miso tofu ramen and it’s flavour was not strong enough especially in the tofu which tasted like it hadn’t been marinated in anything, which is ok right because one can just add chilli oil and soy sauce right? Wrong I had to ask for the sauces to be brought over which isn’t too inconvenient however I feel it would just be better if the sauces were on every table as standard for most restaurants. But I will not deny the basic flavours were very nice and post seasoning I thoroughly enjoyed. Service was quick however the waiter was slightly manic (in not the best sense if I’m brutally honest) also dropping a loud metal dish right next to us at one point which was slightly off putting, but accidents happen I understand. Anyways enough griping, the atmosphere was lovely the restaurant has been made up really nicely with some very nice background music. I’m very happy Ramen Korner has come here and replaced the empty derelict space, it’s honestly worth your time and money coming in at a very reasonable price for a hearty...
Read moreWe only stopped by for some small dishes and beer. The ramen looked wonderful, but we just wanted a quick bite before going home. The low rating is mostly because the staff clearly didn't know how to pour pints. Both of ours came very heavy on the foam, with one of the pints ending up being only 2/3 full within a minute before we started drinking. I've ordered some takoyaki and seaweed salad which came quick and was quite tasty, however, the takoyaki was severely lacking in octopus with mostly being batter and bonito flakes (don't get me wrong, I love bonito flakes, but it was so heavy piled on that I couldn't blow on the hot takoyaki without sending bonito flying everywhere). The salad was tasty, but quite wet - maybe just personal preference but I thought it was watery. The staff were very nice, but I think the two main waiters chose a wrong spot to stand - it was very close to our table (they were standing at the door frame that leads into the dining area) so it felt like they were constantly lingering right...
Read moreStumbled upon Ramen Korner and was completely won over. The place combines a warm atmosphere with a view worth lingering over—classic streetfront buildings, red lanterns, and a big picture window that pulls the outside in.
We tried two bowls: one with beautifully charred roast duck, and another with tender sliced chicken in a creamy broth. The duck ramen was a standout—crispy, rich, and deeply flavorful, perfectly complemented by a jammy egg, sweet corn, and a thoughtful assortment of toppings. The chicken ramen had a lighter, almost silky broth with subtle depth and generous slices of sesame-dusted chicken. Both were satisfying without being overwhelming.
If you’re in town and in need of a comforting meal with heart, this spot lives up to its neon promise: “Ramen that warms the soul.” Highly recommended for solo diners, dates, or anyone chasing the magic of a truly good...
