As soon as we walked in the cafe we were welcomed by a friendly waitress and we were also introduced to the owner of the restaurant who guided us to our table by the window. Upon ordering we noticed that they had a lotus biscoff waffle but not a milkshake, however, we requested a lotus milkshake and they kindly accepted. We also ordered a single serving of cool strawberries crepe but we had told the waitress that it was between the two of us. Soon after we received our food and to our surprise it was nicely divided into two plates - Both with a scoop of ice cream and whip cream! love the environment of the restaurant very warm and comforting. Kasme ratings!

I have to say that High Street Cafe ranks among the top my favourite early-morning cafes in Oxford list. The first thing to highlight is their cinnamon bun, seriously good! Secondly, their savoury crepes, are seriously good! Thirdly their breakfast menu, the choice is fantastic. And.. the best part of the cafe, is the view from its glass wall. Oh, another best fact- everything is halal 👏🏼 The owner is a Moroccan Muslim. Spacious space! Clean toilet!

Scones made in heaven!! Absolutely delicious. Light, soft and just sweet enough. Ask for the scones with clotted cream and jam with coffe or tea. We also had poached eggs luxury Benedict and Morrocan chicken fajitas, milkshakes and crepes. All well made and presented. Friendly and fast staff service. Great value for money! I highly recommend it! 😋 I haven’t got pictures of the scones. We ate them to fast😅

I didn't personally enjoy the food (a panini) I purchased from here. It appeared to be more of a heated mayo chicken sub not a chicken pesto and mozzarella panini. And it wasn't warm. - however I can deal with not liking the food.

The service was terrible. On arrival greeted by waitress who took our order promptly. Following this bought our food without any cutlery, after we flagged someone down for cutlery. Mistakes happen.

There was three waitessses that were stood in the corner chatting most of the time. They did not ask if things were OK when I clearly wasn't eating my food. I had planned to order something different (and pay for both) as I didn't like what I had but I they all avoided our table completely.

All other tables we could see were being cleared the moment people finished and cleaned while the customer still sat at them but an hour and a half went by and it felt as if they certainly were avoiding our table? Maybe cause I hadnt eaten much but they should be checking surely!! When we started getting coats on one girl came over and said shall I take this. We had planned to have a cake with lunch but decided to go elsewhere.

(my) Food not good and service not good. Other people's food did look good though. For quite a nice little cafe...

Okay for a quick food fix, but would not recommend it as a cosy cafe to sit in and relax. Perhaps it was not a good day. More of an eatery feel than a cosy cafe as the name suggests. The table was cleaned just before we were seated, so it still had a lingering smell of chlorine. I guess it is good for disinfection but not a great smell for someone about to relax and eat. I would strongly recommend swapping to an odourless or a bit more pleasant disinfectant. The order was taken promptly and delivered without a mistake. The coffee frappe was ok as expected, but the smoothie completely separated into a watery juice with a foam. Probably because it was very hot, which is understandable, but it was very indicative of not so great quality. Overheard another customer having the same issue and having to reorder. Definitely not worth the price we paid. To eat we ordered savoury crepes, which on their own were delicious. Plenty of filling, however it was literally as described, just roasted chicken and partially melted cheese, with a few salad leaves, halved cherry tomato and a cucumber drizzled with the salad dressing on the side. Though mine had a piece of plastic wrap left in it, so definitely struggling to deliver good quality on a...

So here it goes. "Could I have a black Americano and a bottle of water?" "We only have sparkling water". "Could I have a glass of tap water instead?". "We are too busy right now". I do get it, it was May Morning, but there were literally 2 members of staff just hanging around and I was ordering a coffee anyway and no one was queueing after me. That answer seemed so ridiculous. Anyway I cancelled my coffee order and managed to get a plastic cup to pour myself some tap water that was in a fridge just in front of the till. Maybe they didn't notice my "Baby on Board" badge or my very prominent bump. 😐

PS. Surely it wasn't a "mis understanding" (quote). There's nothing to misunderstand in literally "Can I have a glass of tap water instead" and "We are too busy right now". I ordered a coffee too, the staff just...
