If I could leave lower than one star for this restaurant I would. We were greeted - if you could call it that- by a manager with a melancholy disposition and an apparent dislike for the revenue we were bringing to his branch of the Beefeater business. We were a large group and, as such, had pre-ordered our food to ease the pressure placed on both the floor and kitchen staff, although this mindfulness was seemingly overlooked by every employee. Throughout this awful experience we were treated as an annoyance, our food was brought out 30 minutes after schedule (a schedule given to us by the restaurant and thereby removing our autonomy over our own meal time) and a number of meals were sent back to be corrected. Despite not being offered any, we asked for condiments which never appeared and no check back was given by the waitress. One member of our party was told the meal she had ordered was not yet available on the current menu (despite it being advertised on the website) and although the ingredients were in the kitchen they had no 'spec' to be able to make the meal. The pièce de résistance came when said party member attempted to- calmly and politely- raise the issue of the conflicting menu options and mention that she was leaving having had no lunch. The manager was rude, obtuse, argumentative and entirely unapologetic and decided that the best way to compensate for the atrocious service was to ban our party from the restaurant; this was escalated to banning our entire company from this fine establishment when a further point was raised that 'a chicken Caesar salad, without Caesar dressing, is just a chicken salad'. Visit this restaurant if you're a fan of being sighed at, overpriced drinks and like the uncertainty of not knowing if your food has...
Read moreWe came to this restaurant of which we had to wait to be greeted of which we were then told we couldn't dine in the main restaurant as we had not booked and were forced into the bar area, we were also told that they were busy (not sure that having an empty restaurant warrants the words busy) We finally managed to order food for 3 children and 2 adults, the children had 3 courses, nachos, macaroni cheese and ice cream, a nachos a burger with 2 mini corn on the cob and pancakes, and finally a garlic bread, steak with chips 2 mini corn on the cob and ice cream, the adults had 10 oz gammon with chips and peas, while the other had steak and ale pie with chips and peas with gravy. the garlic bread arrived within 2 minutes whilst we had to chase the other food, then the kids starters came out with the their mains and ours. The gammon steak was cold, we had to ask about sauces twice and the corn on the cobs twice, and the gravy which did not arrive. unfortunately the guy behind the till was apparently trying to do everything. But we still didn't have all issues resolved and the meal as it should have been. No question of rectifying the gammon or gravy. the worst of is is that we were not the only table who had issues, an elderly couple who came in for a bit of apple pie and custard which was served to them cold and another young family was wanting the kids meal to come out with there starters to allow the child to eat before them but still did not happen for them either. All in all it has been an absolutely appauling experience of service, quality of food, and just general dining experience was disgusting. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. This has been my first experience of a Beefeater restaurant and I must say it may...
Read moreVery poor service. Arrived at the premier inn and booked for evening meal and breakfast. Well we arrived for the evening meal which they said we wasn't booked in for only breakfast. OK so if we want to eat did we mind sitting in the bar area yes no problem. OMG what an absolute disgusting place we sat at one table which we moved from promptly as there was an aroma of wee. We eventually found a table that wasn't littered with left over food. We went to order only to be told they stopped serving Sunday lunch ok again so we reordered. Waited 1hr 5mins for food that arrived cold and one meal was forgotten about. The man how I persume the was manager (he had a jacket and glasses on) tried to explain they had been busy from lunch and was playing catch up. I would like to just add this was now 7pm🤔 and the lasagne would only be a couple of minutes this was after he rolled his eyes at my husbands complaint he had no idea on customer service what so ever. The table across also complained as they had waited 45min for their babies ice cream and they got the same dribble. The table next then complained as they had waited 45 mins for their food but their children had already had and eaten theirs. One area of the bar was cordoned off as it looked like a child's party had been on as the amount of food that was thrown all over the floor. I would like to admit we only stayed to eat as we had travelled down 3 hours from Yorkshire and tired and was unsure where else to eat. Wish we had of called at McDonalds on the way past would of got hot food and better service. I think its safe to say we have cancelled breakfast for the morning I wouldn't step foot it such a disgusting...
