How can you ever go wrong with a BK. (Auto correct actually put 'BJ', although I fully agree with the way my phone was thinking, it wasn't really what this review is about!) Fairly fast service, good hot food, their fries are a 100% better than McDs. Only bad side is the drinks machine is never working. If this is a covid thing or not is anyone's guess.
Update - went yesterday with a friend. We both ordered on the machine separately. Both paid by card. My machine said payment accepted then the screen said 'please wait' order needed to be verified... so I stood waiting... waiting waiting. My friend got his food. I told the staff, they said wait... I waited, they got assistant manager, she said I could reorder. I said but I paid. Manager came and reset machine. No order arrived tull side. They think my payment hasn't gone through... I ordered at till and paid again. Sat down as my friend finished his meal....
Updated again.... went today, placed the order, didn't get a receipt, waited 25mins for two meals, given two cups for the drinks machine, to then find out that the machine only d9ee Coke, Coke and Coke... tried getting attention of seriously disinterested staff. Gave up. Painfully slow service from staff who look like they would rather die than be there. This is the usual sorry state of quality of fast food... just without the fast part. Sorry BK... really poor for...
Read moreThis review only relates to the drive through option as I had 2 terrible experiences.
First time that I used the drive through some months ago, when I got home, I realised that some items were missing and others were not registered correctly. Nothing I could do then...
This second time, last Saturday, after finishing the transaction on the drive through, to my surprise I was asked to go and wait in the car park. I waited for about 10 minutes, then went inside to check on my order - without any order number or reference. When one of the staff members came out to deliver drive throughs in the car park, I asked about my order, and she told me she didn't have it yet. To my surprise, she goes to my car and proceeds to deliver the bag to my wife. I was fuming. Turns out, one of the items was incorrectly registered. When I opened the bad and gave the burger to my wife, we realised that they did not pack the correct burger. We had 2 burgers, 1 each, and none was what we asked for.
Absolutely ridiculous.
When ordering on drive through, there MUST be a screen for the customer to see what is being registered. With the loud noises and with staff multitasking, it's guaranteed that mistakes will happen.
Secondly, if there is a large number of orders and you can't process drive through properly, just close it temporarily and people will go in...
Read moreThe incident of missing cheeseburgers from my Burger King order may appear to be a trivial mishap, but upon deeper reflection, it serves as a stark manifestation of the profound failures of capitalism. This global giant, along with other behemoths of the fast-food industry, have come to symbolize the detrimental impact of unchecked capitalism, dictating prices and saturating markets to a point where natural competition has become virtually impossible. The supremacy these corporations enjoy, devoid of substantial competition, fosters a laissez-faire attitude towards customer service and quality control. Moreover, their capacity to standardize tastes, homogenize cultures, and monopolize global markets has led to a catastrophic erosion of diversity and has curbed the emergence of potential competitors. This scenario, often referred to as the "end times of capitalism," challenges the very pillars of liberal democracy – freedom, competition, and choice – thus provoking introspection on the sustainability of the capitalist framework in its current form. Consequently, while I might lament my incomplete order, the broader issue lies in the widespread shortcomings of capitalism, which, in its quest for profit, seems to have lost sight of its foundational ethos of competition...
