Watermans Arms — Restaurant in Pembroke

Lovely welcoming staff. Beautifully situated pub and great food. Bar staff and chef were very friendly and helpful. Visited twice because of this. There were lots of veggie options on the menu but i just wanted something light on my second visit, so opted for the soup of the day, caramelised carrot. My sister then noticed on the website that there was a halloumi salad but we couldn't see it on the menu. When we asked the chef about it he told us that it was not on the current menu, but that he would happily make me one. It was delicious and just what i needed. He also brought out a small sample of the carrot soup. Wow. It was sooo tasty. There were 5 of us and we were all blown away by the food. Empty plates went back to the kitchen and 5 very happy and fulfilled customers left the pub. Will definitely visit again next time we are here. Thank you for making us...

I had the seaweed salad with prawns which was amazing. The prawns you could tell were fresh and cooked from order. Much the same for the seaweed. Only negative to the food which is self preferences iceberg or baby gem rather than leafy salad and rocket. They had no problem with my partner changing the seaweed salad protein to chicken instead of prawns, which was cooked perfectly and had great flavour. The service we had was outstanding. The two ladies behind the bar were very chatty and likeable people. Service was quick didn’t too long at all and everything was clean and tidy. Atmosphere was nice. The surroundings are stunning nice view of the castle and sat on the river cannot fault the outdoor. Inside decor was a bit dated but clean and tidy. Beautiful location. We had a special from the board; The Sea Bass for Two. It was a huge seafood feast and the whole sea bass was cooked perfectly. VERY delicious after our day trip bicycle adventure to Barafundel Beach. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was busy with a great atmosphere. The restaurant beyond the bar has great interior design. We enjoyed food in the bar the night before; the burger and prawns were demolished with gusto. All the food was prepared by chefs that know good food. The pub is busy with locals and this adds the the great atmosphere. Try to book if you can as they do get busy.
