I would never suggest this place to anyone. Food is 0 star I would say. Starters 1. Chilli prawn: It's just semi boiled to show that the prawn is fresh but it's bad. 2. Mixed plater for one and the Lamb is not cooked properly. They agreed that the Lamb is not cooked and changed my starter to chicken Tikka. Main Course: Lamb and windaloo chicken. OmG its so bad. Just in an Onion gravy. Worst part is my vegan friend ordered 1 roti and 1 naan and after it arrived, when she asked to confirm if the naan is Eggless they said no it has egg however nowhere on the menu its mentioned that it contains egg. Which is like a big no no. Overall experience is very bad, except the tiger beet that my friend had.

Ordered food from Cafe Indiya for the first time on Friday. The Garlic Chicken Balti was ok but the Crab Malabar was awful. Never have I tasted the like. It was like eating desiccated coconut covered in a bag of sugar. And I was totally unable to taste any crab. I ended up throwing the whole starter dish away as it was disgustingly sweet.

I complained about the starter and was told by the person I spoke to that they would get the owner to call me. Well guess what….7 days on and still no phone call e en though I phoned up twice for an update and to speak to the owner.

Not a great first experience of Cafe Indiya especially as I waited 2 hours for delivery of the food. What a let down. I don’t think I’ll bother ordering from there again.

Plenty of other Indian restaurants in Plymouth to try I guess because they really don’t seem bothered at Cafe...

OMG!!!!! We have had takeaway from here before. But this time we decided to eat in the restaurant. And the experience was absolutely fantastic the staff in here. Are very attentive, kind, and cared about there job. Our daughter came along and rather than speaking to the parents of what she would like. They asked her and got her involved with the conversation which is a big thumbs up and I don't think this happens enough in restaurants that staff ask the children what they would like to eat. Something as simple as this goes along way. The meal itself was tasty hot and very very well presented. Surprisingly enough it was even more tastier in the restaurant than at home. I guess its becuase it was served straight away but I feel this made a difference and will be dining here again without hesitation. Thank you to the staff at...

Students Beware!! My husband and I decided to go for a meal at Cafe Indiya on Saturday evening. The overall deciding factor was the bonus of a 10% student discount being offered. On checking the website there were no T&C's connected to this offer and duly we went to the restaurant. However, at the end of the meal, on production of my current and valid NUS student card I was informed it would not be accepted. I was not provided with an adequate explanation as to why my card could not be used. I found the whole embarrassing scenario upsetting and frustrating. This business does not trade in an honest and transparent manner. The owner makes up his rules as he goes along. I will be reporting this deceptive trading style to Consumer Direct...
