As a previous frequent visitor to André's Restaurant across various locations, I was always captivated by the exceptional culinary experience they provided. The flavours and presentation in every dish were remarkable. I must say, the culinary experience was phenomenal. However, I am compelled to address some concerns regarding the hygiene practices observed during my visit to the Havant location. While the food was outstanding, I couldn't ignore the staff's lack of proper hygiene measures. This aspect significantly impacted my overall experience and made me question the establishment's safety. For instance, I noticed that the staff frequently wore gloves. Although this might give the impression of cleanliness, it became apparent that they misunderstood proper hygiene protocols. I witnessed on two different days a staff member handling money, touching their nose, and then touching food items without changing their gloves or washing hands. It is important to note that simply wearing gloves does not prevent cross-contamination; correct practices and knowledge are essential in maintaining a hygienic environment. In light of these concerns, I strongly urge André Restaurant to prioritize comprehensive training for their staff, emphasizing the importance of hygiene practices and cross-contamination prevention. Encouraging utensils or tongs when handling food would be a step in the right direction to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. I genuinely enjoyed the exceptional flavours and unique culinary creations at André's Restaurant. It saddens me that these hygiene issues mar such a fantastic dining experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and implements the necessary measures to address these concerns promptly. It’s a small place, so atmosphere is hard to get right here. However, they more than make up for it with their impeccable service and the best crispy bacon bits in the South of England.

You may look at the price and go somewhere cheaper, but you’re missing out on fantastic, freshly made food that you just won’t find anywhere else.
