Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Ignorant server called Tina refused to provide extra cup for very hot black coffee as they do not provide sleeves. Made complaint to manager who didn’t seem to give a damn. He told me that his staff member didn’t refuse a second cup when he wasn’t even there for that conversation so how he could have commented is beyond reason. Useless service by this particular manager and this particular staff member Tina. Great start to my day attending Oncology department!!! The staff should be reminded they work in a hospital environment and should therefore be mindful of people who may be attending hospital appointments for some very difficult issues. Regardless of this. They should treat customers with a better level of respect. Never will give my money...

Popped in for a tea/coffee and a slice of cake while waiting for my prescription to be ready. Had I known the state of the table's, I think I would of perfered elsewhere. It appeared the previous customer had sat in the previous customer mess, meaning we know had to sit in 2 customers mess.however do not fear we cleared the despicable table's for you on our departure... I couldn't believe that this was allowed or acceptable inside a hospital facility. You couldn't even say that they where short staffed, more than enough to clean table's. It was evident this was considered below there pay grade. Table waiting service solely relys on the customers good nature...

Ordered two coffees to drink in, via machine at entrance. Waited a while even though one section of counter wasn't serving anyone. Order was placed in takeaway cups so I asked why not in proper ones. I was told the are was mainly takeaway. I said I'd asked for eat in and server poured said coffee into them. Observed several people trying to order at other serving point only to be told (rather curtly)to go to other one by a young man with no explanation.
