This place popped up on a Google search when I was casually looking for donuts. Being not too far away I contacted them via messenger to see if they had any donuts left as it was afternoon time & it seems a very popular place. They got back to me within minutes letting me know what they had & said they would put them by for me. Upon entering my daughter & her friend were amazed by the feel & look of the place (apparently the aesthetics are amazing, their words) & when they saw the donuts their eyes widened so much even the staff commented on how funny it was to watch.
Seriously, supporting small businesses in this current climate is a must, daughter & friend loved the heart shaped artwork with their milk froth & the donuts well what can I say...krispy kreme need to up their game before I'd set foot in 1 again, in fact as long as this place is selling donuts I have no need to step inside a chain donut place ever again. The staff are fantastic & so friendly, I envisage many future trips & once they're allowed to open for proper custom again they have a pink room downstairs for sitting in & consuming goods...so of course we'll have to visit just for that! Oh & I almost forgot...the coffee is amazing!!! So amazing in fact I bought a box of pods for at home too to cut out the need to go to any chain coffee stores in between...

my friend ordered a donut but it was burnt and when she came over to ask for a replacement, she was told that all of them were burnt. this is not okay for multiple reasons, and considering that the donuts were like 4 pounds, it did lot leave a nice impression.
as for customer service also didn’t have the best experience but i understand that the person may be tired, so i won’t blame them or anything. however, selling burnt donuts did cross the line for me.
in terms of coffee, i had an espresso, which was actually not bad, however it was a bit ruined for me due to the...
Read moreOutstanding. I had the distinct pleasure of working close to Hideout Coffee over the last three days and will seek it out now, anytime I'm in Central Portsmouth. The drinks are carefully prepared by skilled baristas who greet you with a great attitude. I frequently heard them greet regulars by name, knowing what their most likely order would be and how they like it. Exceptional standard of service.
I enjoyed an oat latte and two soy mocha over the last three days and they were all utterly delicious, fine quality coffee well worth the short wait. The aesthetics of the café are for me, just a beautiful as the drinks, with lush green, gold, stone and wood everywhere.
I also sampled no fewer than 6 of their vegan doughnuts, each an every one of them a divine indulgence. Everything about this place is brilliant, the staff the refreshments the branding. It's a shame there are only five stars to give!
I will...
