A nice little coffee shop in a good place between the bus station and shopping centres, making it a great go-to for a drink and rest. The decor is nice and it's usually clean, though the tables aren't always cleared (which is odd since it's never busy when I visit). Most of the staff I've been served by are friendly, though there was one who must have been having a bad day, that or she was just a rude person. If there is one real complaint it would be how they serve tea. It seems no coffee shop gets it right, but once I got a cup full to the brim with water, a teabag tied to the handle and no milk. I was not impressed. Aside from that I couldn't say anything else really negative. Overall, it's like, more than milk but not quite...

I asked for a mocha and got a latte. Brought this up with the barista who apologised and said she would replace it. She then brought the same cup back (it had stains in the same place as before) with what seemed to be chocolate powder added to the latte I gave back. The drink had not been remade, the barista had just added chocolate powder to my original drink. Was literally able to spoon out clumps of this. Needless to say, this was mentioned to the barista who didn't offer a replacement or a refund and only responded with an "okay". Never had issues with the Nero on Fishergate, however this one does appear to have better decor. Pitty about the service. Won't be returning, especially with independent shops in...

Cafe Nero is by far my favourite cafe shop although I am not a coffee person really. Their hot chocolate with wiped cream is my favourite hot chocolate ever. Let alone the beautiful cakes they serve. When it rains (as usual),I love to go to Cafe Nero, have my hot chocolate and chocolate/carrot cake, sit, relax and watch people walking by. They have nice tables on the ground floor inside and outside and it is quite spacious. The reason why I am not giving this one a 4/5 stars is that on the first floor, I was expecting to sit up there and enjoy the view of the street, but the windows are quite high and you have to stand up to see the street. But overall, my experience is...

Caffè Nero has really been able to maintain its uniqueness. It feels very continental and authentic, from chalkboard menus offering alternative lifestyle options for vegans and lactose intolerant, to the sounds of jazz and blues music like Billie Holiday playing in the back, making the whole experience feel super cool.
