Moka? Mock-up. Of somewhere safe not to eat. Never ever have I been treated so bad after what I would call an atrocious service where the place served a vegitarian... chicken! I ordered fries with skin on, and ordered nachos but checked with the 'server' that they were vegitarian. He said they do a vegitarian option so that's what I ordered. Part of the tapas menu was two items so I ordered the halloumi kebab. When it arrived the kebab was covered in what I could describe as a spicy coating. So the halloumi looked coated and very appetizing. I ate some of the potatos then tried the kebab. It was soft in texture but quite firm. After eating one piece, I did notice that the halloumi was not 'squeaky' on the teeth like most cooked halloumi is. So looking at the second chunk I pulled it apart and saw it was textured and stringy. It was chicken. I felt violated and sick. I called the server over and he apologised and asked if I wanted another one. I asked the boy what would he do as a vegitarian? Eat a dead animal?? I could not eat anything else as I felt sick and disgusted that I had been made to eat a dead animal. I was offered my money back but only after asking for the Manager. I did not feel that the shop took me seriously. What if it was a religious choice? If I was Asian or black, would I have been taken more seriously? Vegans, Vegitarians. Steer clear. The servers or cooks do not know the difference between halloumi or chicken nor do the Management seem to care about peoples personal life choices. Happy to answer...

We had never seen this establishment prior to our visit. The menu looked interesting and the place clean and inviting.

Meatball baguette, side salad and chips and a Banana milkshake for my daughter and for a first try of a chimichanga.

The Mexican rice was delicious, made fresh on site. The wraps were cajun chicken and spicy to perfection. One of my favourite ever dishes. Superb a 10/10.

The baguette was equally as good. The milkshake also. The service from a gentleman with glasses was outstanding. If you have read my reviews before yoh will note I have allergies and angioedema. I know the food was freshly made on site because he brought me the ingredients to set our mind at rest.

He knew the menu inside and out. He was fantastic.

As for cleanliness it's a 10.

Value I think was brilliant.

I would highly recommend. We also looked at the tables around us and they seemed equally as impressed. At 12 noon it filled up quickly so if you want lunch get there promptly.

Always had AMAZING FOOD here and the staff are lovely. But on this occasion I did not like the burger as I ordered beef and it tasted and smelt like lamb which I can not stand. The manager did ask on the food and my reply was don't like it so I got back don't know why not.......what kind of a reply is that from a manager he offered me discount after I sat and ate fries. Feeling stared at all the time after complaining and watch when going to pay for him to offer 25% off....I would of still paid in full rather than be embarrassed. Wouldn't mind took 45 mins to get food. Never felt so uneasy ever with the little lepricorn watching my every move. Will still return on a day he doesn't work as all the other staff are amazing. Ps did get told at the end the beef is cooked in the same oven as the lamb so I wasn't wrong. Anyway just to let you know if you hate lamb don't get beef cooked in same oven and we all know lamb has a smell of it own. Anyway lovely staff apart from the...

Called in at lunchtime on a Saturday and got a table at the back of the restaurant. It's deceptive from the outside how far back the place goes and there is lots more seating upstairs too. The staff are very welcoming and courteous, and our food came fairly quickly too. We ordered a starter and another starter as our mains, both were delicious and flavourful. I will definitely go back and eat there again.

My friends and I have been visiting for many years. After a couple of changes in management recently Moka is now back to it's former glory. The food is once again excellent and the staff very attentive. The set menu of two main dishes and one side for £15 is really good value. My friends and I all had this option plus a couple of cocktails and paid £27 each including a tip. Would highly recommend.
