Had been recommended this place by a few friends, nice decor feels like a pub. menu is very simple choice of pies or pies and a few snacks like sausge and pork scratchings, I had a butter pie, so did my step Dad and my Mother ate the fish pie we all enjoyed your food very much although I thought the onion in the butter pie was too much normally in a butter pie they mince the onion and but the pastry was lovely and my mother loved her fish pie.

A fine little Ale house, usually serving up a respectable 4 or so cask beers, which is what I'm here for. There's usually at least twice as much variety on offer in bottles and cans. The tables outside are a bonus for rare sunny spells; otherwise inside is snug enough with plenty of scope for conviviality if that's what you're after. Food tends to be basic, but still good. Toilets are clean...

Brilliant choice of beers, food menu was great,I had a pulled pork baguette, BBQ sauce and fries washed down with a cool pint of brakespeare ale,I can't recommend this place enough, good service and information, sit inside or out on a sunny or windy day ,adds to it's character. The management has changed and it's atomosphere is now very dead

Popped in one Friday night, the ale and ciders on tap were excellent choices, the live music was beautiful and really added to what is a great friendly atmosphere. Will be back to try the menu soon as it looked intriguing. I sort of wish this was my local as people really were having such a good time in there, it's relaxed and upbeat, I like it, one group of a dozen crammed round a table laughing and bantering, clearly friends or colleagues, another table hosted a solitary person having a late tea, the rest were couples, very mixed but welcoming place. The food Did smell good, I wish I hadn't already eaten. If you like meals with pies this is a good suggestion. Retro modern, relaxed quirky, British home made food style with a wide selection of drinks you won't...

A proper little gem just off winckley square. Jonny always keeps a wide and varied selection on tap, and is always happy to help you find something you'll enjoy. Always welcoming, a cosy atmosphere with top notch sound track.

The food has always been delicious with generous portions and full of flavour. A meal and a pint will set you back about £15 (depending on the pint), and to be filled to the gills for two is about £50 with drinks. I've eaten almost everything on the menu, I couldn't recommend all of it enough!

If you passing and fancy a quick pint, a drink with friends or a bite to eat you won't go wrong here. Lastly, doggos are welcome and catered for, in fact I think Jonny opened the pub as a ploy to...

My wife and I visited this lovely place for the first time today on my sons recommendation. The drinks were excellent, the food first class. I had 2 lovely Ipa's. I also had the Winkley beefburger and chips, it was delicious. My wife had Haloumi salad (which she shared with me), which was also delicious. I thoroughly recommend this venue to anyone who likes a craft beer (other drinks available). I also recommend their very tasty food. (Our compliments to chef). We will definitely be back. I must also mention the hard working young man that was running the bar and dealing with the tables. I can't believe I forgot to tip him. Double bubble next time. You will definitely see us...
