Coffee#1 Redditch — Restaurant in Redditch

The coffee is nice but I didn’t feel the same about the staff today. There were three of them, two ladies and one guy, as I approached they were chatting and continued to do so even though I was standing there waiting to be served (what bothered me the most is that they didn’t even acknowledge me) I am happy to wait but don’t ignore me! Once I was served, I was waiting for my drinks and someone else came along and they did the exact same thing, not even a hi! Won’t be long etc the fact that they looked at the guy and looked away without saying a word i find extremely rude (instead of chatting to each other, speak to your customers) At the same time one gentleman brought up his used cups and plates. When I visit from Australia my sister and I go to Coffee#1 Redditch on a Monday morning as we enjoy their coffee. The staff have changed a number of times but there is a young lady called Rachael who performs her duties ABOVE and BEYOND expectation. The cafe is constantly busy and Rachael smiles and professionally goes about her duties. We have seen her a number of times clearing tables etc during her break! I do hope Coffee#1 realise what an outstanding employee they have and she is rewarded accordingly. The last week of my holiday she was on leave so I did not get to say cheerio. We were so pleased when we discovered Coffee #1 in the Kingfisher, as Redditch doesn't have much to offer in the way of good coffee and eats. Lovely relaxed atmosphere; you can drink their excellent coffees on a stylish wooden bench, whilst reading the newspapers & magazines they provide. Their coffee is wonderful, really good quality, especially the caramel macchiato... their cakes etc however may look yummy but unfortunately they're rather mediocre, which is a shame.
