My brother with his girlfriend and I visited Monte Forte pizzeria on Friday the 30th of June because we had a great pizza! Me and my brother we come from "Naples" so we do recognise a good pizza! Therefore the customer service it destroys everything the pizza chefs create because we felt rushed since we came in by the waiter saying we need the table by 21:00 which was one hour, which it is ok we do understand they can be busy and even having a reservation because "we did reserve the table for 3 at 7:45" Some times they have to reorganise the table Exeter.. but in those cases the waiter should have more of an eye on the table so that the customer/guest does not have to wait too long as it happened with me waiting 15 minutes to catch the attention of the waiter for a bottle of sparkling water, than we asked to have 3 starters before the pizza and the pizza had to wait 2/3 minutes on the pass before coming on the table because I was still eating my starter the pizza wasn't cold enough for a complaint so we decided to don't say anything about and do not create a drama but a waiter should check before sending the ok to the pizza chef for the mains and that's so basic! At the end while I was still eating my last slice of pizza the waiter started to collect plaits from the table which is so """rude""" from them so I didn't had time to finish my pizza and because I have felt rushed from the waiter I decided to leave my slice of pizza in the plait, I did not wanted to wait for the waiter to come back on the table to ask us to have the bill and leave so I went at the till and payed the bill !!! We went away and after 45 minutes we walked in front of the pizzeria and it was not busy and the table they were rushing "our table" was empty! That's says everything about my review! I am sorry because the pizza it is the best in Surrey! But the customer service it is more important for me so if they don't provide a basic training on customer service basis I don't think I can enjoy their pizza anymore! Best wishes...
Read moreLet me be clear, if I were rating this restaurant on the quality of the pizza alone, then this would be a comfortable 5 star review. The pizzas here really are excellent. Unfortunately a few things prevent me from being able to give 5 stars. Firstly, if there are items on your menu that are unavailable, it is really helpful to inform your customers before they have spent 20 minutes looking at the menu to make their selection. Apparently there weren't any peppers for one of the starter selections. We were also informed later, that due to running out of onions for the vegetarian pizza, another toppling would need to be selected - how do you run out of onions? There is a Morrisons just down the road. They had also run out of their guest beer. Finally, at the end of our meal we were informed that our bill had been accidentally deleted from their system and so we wouldn't receive an itemized copy, but that they waitress had worked out the total. I've never experienced that before? So all in all, wonderful food mixed with wobbly service which could partly be solved by just either ordering enough ingredients and stock, or at least by informing your customers before they begin...
Read moreI've been using Monte Forte since they were outside Fourhops back on the day. I would have always rated them 5 stars as the Pizza, service and atmosphere of the restaurant was second to none. Last couple of visits, including last week and sadly it has lost some of its sparkle. Pizzas were still generally excellent, although the Nduja had far too much green chilli (long thick slices) on one side of it only. The service wasn't good. It took 25 mins for a beer to arrive on the table after ordering and it was almost impossible to catch the attention of the lady serving upstairs. She didn't know how to process tips on the card reader so we couldn't even leave one, she didn't seem to care either. The atmosphere was more like sitting in a takeaway restaurant, takeaway pizza boxes piled high, constant in and out of takeaway deliveries and the staff didn't seem to have any time to actually serve the restaurant properly. In my opinion it's gone downhill rapidly since they opened Horsham branch and the management of Reigate changed, shame as it's by far it the best Pizza in town but now would only...
