PizzaExpress — Restaurant in Reigate and Banstead

Visited on 11th January at 5:20pm. Don't usually leave reviews but felt absolutely disgusted. My Wife, 2 children and I were seated and then within minutes asked if we were ready to order. Of course we were not and then we didnt see them again for 20 minutes where we had to ask to order. After ordering, our starters came out relatively fast. Then we waited for at least 1 hour to receive out mains after I asked where they were. Cutlery had been cleared from our starters and nothing replaced. Nobody came to check back on us and generally felt sad about the fact we hadn't been looked after. I asked to speak to the manager who took a little while to appear. Greeted us and mentioned we asked to speak to him. Immediately he pulled out the order and went through to the kitchen and showed us the timings from start to finish which was a bit aggressive. Then a resolution had been made. Offered a free dessert to my wife and I. Whilst eating our dessert he then came back and started to wrongly accuse us if being serial complainers! I have never been so insulted and embarrassed! I was eating my dessert and he kept going on stating that his staff had said they recognise us. To which I replied we havent been here in over a year. And by this point, I had enough! I asked for the bill and he continued to talk about his staff recognising us! I had to ask for the bill 4 times and of course pointed out that we haven't been there in a year! I was very angry and highly embarrassed by how I had just been treated. He returned with the Bill. We finished and paid. As we went to leave he came to apologise and followed us out of the restaurant insisting it was his staff's fault. This has been the worst every experience I have ever had whilst eating out. Very disappointed, insulted and highly embarrassed with how my wife 2 children and I have...

What an experience we had In Pizza Express tonight ! We arrived at 8.00pm to see a restaurant 1/2 full which was a surprise to say the least! We were shown to our seat by a very polite waitress to then be greeted with a 15 minute wait for someone to come and offer us a drink ! Which I must add was prompted by me flagging down a waiter who simply said “sorry this is not my area” !

A very rude waitress with zero people skills was then prompted to visit our table to take our order.

After giving our order for drink and food to a avoid any further delays we were then served our drinks with the additional slamming of glasses on the table !

The food was delivered within 15 minutes and tasted pretty good to be fair !

It is such a shame that a business that hangs in the balance is been punished by its poor staff attitude !

I really do hope that the lady with short hair and glasses who totally spoilt our evening is proud of her attitude and attempt to force customers to go elsewhere in future !

Bring back independents who actually appreciate the customers who spend hard earned...

We had our sons 7th birthday party here and honestly we could not be more impressed. From the moment you step through the door you receive a warm and lively greeting, everything is already set up for the kids in their own area of the restaurant. There's colouring to keep them entertained as their friends arrive and parents are told to sit down and "relax" HA! The kids had a fabulous interactive session of learning how to make a pizza and had a wide range of choices of toppings to add to their art work. Whilst these were baking the kids enjoyed doughballs, cucumber sticks and tomatoes, with bottomless squash, they demolished their pizzas and then enjoyed ice cream. We had a group of 15 children aged 3.5yrs to 7yrs old and all were engaged all of the time. The price per child, for 2 hours and to have all of the food/drink included was astounding! If you're a loyalty card holder...there's a discount in it for you too! The team were so attentive and fun, hats off to them! The best kids party we've hosted so far! Lots of compliments all round from the parents...
