Lake Lounge Restaurant & Rooms — Restaurant in Rochdale

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was our first visit and I can confidently say that Lake Lounge is fantastic. The food was amazing, the portions are more than generous, the food is cooked well, tender beef, vegetables that still retained that bit of bite, roast potatoes crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, real gravy, perfect Yorkshire puddings. They clearly use good quality ingredients, everything was so fresh & tasty. The service was 10/10, there’s none of that, one server for your table like you get at some places, every person that passed, checked in, is everything ok? Can we get you anything else? Are you ok for a drink? They were all great, hard working, team players, pleasant, couldn’t ask for a better experience. This was a very busy Father’s Day and the food still came out quickly and every dish that I saw leaving the kitchen looked fab, I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other meals. The positives were that I didn't pay much for two nights stay at all and the location was so good. The staff were really friendly and the food was so good and the portions were huge.

The negatives were that my room did smell of cigarettes and as a non smoker, it really bugged me. I don't know if it was from the other rooms where people may have been smoking or if it was just from whoever has stayed there before me.

And also, the water wasn't really that hot. And the pressure in the sink is very low. I like hot showers but even on the highest setting, it was just above lukewarm. I understand this has probably been done to save money due to the warm weather but I thought it was pretty poor.

I don't know if I'd stay there again but I would definitely eat...

Me and my daughter called in for some lunch yesterday Fri 25th April. What can I say. Fabulous service and food was delicious and generous portions. I had black pudding bon bons to start and cheese and onion pie which came with chunky chips and a side pot of beans. My daughter had halloumi fries to start and a burger as her main.
