Milliez Cafe — Restaurant in Rochdale

I placed an order via Just Eat but it wasn't delivered. I called the store. The first lady that I spoke to was really helpful and told me the following: The order wasn't ready so the delivery driver took anoother customers order to deliver and said he would return for mine but he didn't. Instead he registered the order as delivered on the App. I contacted the store and the lady I spoke to first told me I could pick up my order which was the best solution to the entire problem. Her colleague then took the phone from her and told me to complain to Just Eat. I followed her advice and then rang her back and told her that Just Eat would get back to me in a few hours. I asked her what happens now and if I could pick up my order. She said I couldn't pick up my order because Just Eat would not pay them for the order. I explained that I had complained to Just Eat like she had told me to but my payment had gone through as the driver had lied and registered my order as delivered. She told.me she would.make me a new order if I went into the store and ordered and paid again. There was no understanding or compassion from this woman. Her customer service skills were poor and she didn't really care. I again tried to reason with her and said - you have my order ready, he won't come back for it, I have paid for it, my children are waiting for their meal, let me pick it up. She flat out refused. She was prepared to throw away the food I had paid for. By this point I was speechless at her cold manner. I was robbed of my order and my money. I hope she enjoys it. I'm sure she will go far doing this. Just Eat have not refunded me. I have both email and my bank account proof. I certainly did not want anything for free. I did try and explain to the second woman that Just Eat can be difficult and would not refund me and since my payment had gone through, why couldn't I just pick up my order instead of me trying to get through to Just Eat. Human decency would dictate that people treat one another with respect and understanding. This was missing on this occasion....

Third visit Second visit here Cash only Car park available Come early, much quited And it's been another relaxing morning On entering, we were welcomed by a member of staff she was very polite. We saw a note saying they only accept cash, so we went to get cash to know the cash machine wasn't working We also came to know that the system was down, and we couldn't get the drinks we wanted However, the lady at the counter did reassure us and gave us another option, which was good But by the time our food was ready, the coffee machine and systems were up and running again, so we got our hot drinks The food was brilliant abd was served with a smile So thank you to the cook she was amazing The atmosphere was great we weren't rushed at all We ordered don't food with drinks and then another hot drink This is an amazing place to bring your family and friends have a meet up etc

Will be coming again Thank you again for such amazing service food and welcoming atmosphere

A year on 2025, I went with my mum Unfortunately, I will have to put the rating down as the lady really disappointed me when she asked me to wait when I asked for a glass of water for my mum who was choking at this point i asked my mum to drink her tea thank god she had it otherwsie she would have carry on choking thanks to that lady at the counter. I visited the cafe with my family of four, a fussy teenager, and 9 month old baby and there was something on the menu to please everybody! Real authentic home cooked food! The choice of food available and the quality are exceptional we were spoilt for choice, everything is cooked with love and care, the food is flavoursome and presented beautifully! The portions are just right, the prices are fantastic and a lot cheaper than other places! So great value for money! The interior decor gives a cosy ambiance and everything feels fresh, modern and clean! Front of house staff couldn’t have done more, from making recommendations, taking are order and making sure our precious baby had a high chair the service was great all the staff was in good spirit and this is what you want when you walk into an eatery! Good vibes) customer care is so important! And I’ve been to places previously where the foods been good but the atmosphere not so good and let’s just say I didn’t rush back in a hurry!
