When we entered we were asked to wait while they cleared a table. That was fine. Then the waiter led us to the table but forgot to get us a menu so waited for ten plus minutes to try and get their attention to get the menu. Then a long time till we could get their attention to order. We ordered goat cheese salad, meatballs and spaghetti, and a kids menu macaroni cheese to split between the kids (our kids are small) My salad was good but the meatballs were flavourless and the pasta was clearly dried supermarket stuff, which for the cost of around £15, I would expect some flavour and fresh spaghetti. The kids food was the most disappointing. Just penne (not macaroni) with cheese sauce. No sides or vegetables or salad or anything else. No effort made with presentation… just slopped on a plate… one on plate… when I had asked specifically for it to be split between two plates, so as to split between the two children. The waiter and waitress were polite to us but there was also clearly some vibe of animosity between them.
This place really should not advertise itself as an Italian restaurant because I am confident that Italians would take more pride in their food - presentation and taste, their service, and particularly they would never serve penne pasta when it says macaroni...
Read moreWe've been meaning to try La Bella Napoli since it opened. Today was finally that day, and the food was phenomenal. Each dish our group ordered was a testament to authentic Italian cuisine, masterfully prepared with a finesse that only true culinary artisans can achieve. The freshness of the ingredients shone through in every bite, transporting us straight to the heart of Italy.
What truly set La Bella Napoli apart, however, was the service. The staff were not just attentive; they exuded a genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel more like honoured guests than customers.
And to top it all off, the prices were remarkably reasonable. It's rare to find such a perfect blend of exquisite cuisine, outstanding service, and value for money.

Read moreThis little Italian restaurant in Battle High Street is a real gem. Staff welcoming and helpful. Good choice of starters and mains. We had Calamari and the Mozzarella with tomato and advacado for starters. The mains, we went for Clam linguine in white wine sauce and mixed seafood linguine in tomato sauce. The food was excellent, you could tell the seafood was fresh and portions were good. The atmosphere is very calm and you're not rushed at all. Finished with Italian ice cream and coffee. The prices were very good for the high standard of food. If you love good Italian food and a great atmosphere this is the place. We walked in at lunchtime a got a table but I would advise booking if more than 2 of you and especially in the evenings as it's very popular. Highly...
