Maisha Spice — Restaurant in Rotherham

I’ve been twice now, the first time I was with a larger group and the food was not nice at all. Starters like super market ready made onion bahjis/samosas, curry not tasty at all, really bland and dry, everyone in our group agreed it wasn’t the best! I gave the place the benefit of the doubt & tried it again for a second time with different friends, sad to say we had the same experience. Starters rubbish, my friend had a chicken korma, honestly the worse chicken korma I have ever tried. No taste to it at all & very gritty. We booked as a group of 17 for a 60th birthday meal for my mum. The staff were extremely well organised, attentive, and the food all came together, was of fantastic quality and tasted beautiful. The staff were really accommodating to our children and gave them lollipops while waiting for their meals. All staff were very polite and they fetched out my mums cake on request and even sang to her. A fantastic evening was had by all of us, this was my 2nd visit and will definitely be coming again. Nice restaurant went on 3rd day of opening staff very pleasant and efficient our starters were beautiful and the main course was tasty but Luke warm gave the feedback it needs to be piping hot and hope they take that into consideration will let them find their feet before trying again and hopefully will be 5*
