Upcoming Rugby Musicans look out!!! Just recently moved to Rugby, and I went to the Squirrel for the first time. It was their weekly open mic. I couldn’t believe how rude the Landlord was to the performers - playing so well to a small audience - he had the audacity to change the whole PA mix to a whisper, mid song. Got no respect. Never going back to that place again. Respect our live music. Never respect self righteous idiots. Don’t support them in keeping their pubs alive. Boycott Open Mic Squirrel.

What a classic old school pub where very little has changed decor wise over the years making this a must visit venue. Choice of 3 (obscure to me) cask ales on today. Cold snacks and hot drinks available Check opening times - they tend to vary during the day to avoid disappointment.

Didn't get inside because we came here too early. It was closed. After Rugby Half marathon run we popped in to three other pubs. Next time maybe we'll stay a little longer here to have a pint in the oldest pub in Rugby. From outside The Squirrel Inn looks really good.

Good beer, friendly staff and one of the few places that seem to be taking COVID measures seriously. Signing in was compulsory, temperatures were checked and tables were disinfected between use.

It's a cosy old English pub with a decent "rolling stock" of different ales and ciders. The lagers are cold and refreshing, the staff are friendly and polite and table service was during the COVID...
