Good food, and good prices.
If you're looking for and old style cafe with lots on your plate for a reasonable plate, this is a place to try.
Recently refurbished with an outdoor seating area as well it's a place I often visit. Fare is quite traditional and plenty of it. As well as the usual full English breakfast type selections they have old favourites like Bubble 'n' Squeek, liver and onion, and even do a sunday lunch from time to time.
Parking can be an issue, but there are a number of places nearby you can park for free like the shops opposite or a free car park opposite the Wynde and Ashworh vets as you enter the one way system.

Eggs were perfect. Black pudding and mushrooms on the side were splendid. Not a lot on offer for my vegan gf so she just had beans on...

It’s a nice place to unwind or grab a quick bite, but a few improvements in speed would make it even better. Definitely worth a visit if you're...
