Good food, and good prices.

If you're looking for and old style cafe with lots on your plate for a reasonable plate, this is a place to try.

Recently refurbished with an outdoor seating area as well it's a place I often visit. Fare is quite traditional and plenty of it. As well as the usual full English breakfast type selections they have old favourites like Bubble 'n' Squeek, liver and onion, and even do a sunday lunch from time to time.

Parking can be an issue, but there are a number of places nearby you can park for free like the shops opposite or a free car park opposite the Wynde and Ashworh vets as you enter the one way system.

visit again March 2024* Had full breakfast with black pudding. All cooked really well. Crispy bacon. Runny egg. Very big portion of chips and beans. And I left my wallet on table and they put it behind the desk for me to collect couple hours later. Currently not open as a restaurant in the evening as of 19/10/19 Breakfast was good.. Bridge Road Café is a lovely local spot with a cozy vibe. The coffee is good, and their breakfast options are fresh and tasty. The staff is friendly, but service can be a little slow when it gets busy. The café has a welcoming atmosphere, though the seating can be limited, especially during peak times.
