The place, food and drink are all lovey and last time I visited I was overwhelmed by the hospitality. however, my night was totally ruined when a member of staff criticised me for entering a toilet with a sign stating the toilet was out of order and ‘how stupid was I that I hadn’t noticed the other three toilets that had the same sign on the door’. Feeling already humiliated , she then pointed out the three toilets had cones in them and had I not noticed them? I hadn’t as I had had 2 drinks with family in preparation for a funeral tomorrow that i had travelled down for. Staggered I asked if she worked there to which she relied yes she was not at all bothered that she had upset me or that I wanted to tell the manager. Read moreA more modern Wetherspoons pub, situated underneath the local Travelodge branch. Not too far from the town centre and Farnborough Main Rail Station. About 15 minutes from Farnborough North.
This is another Wetherspoons that does the excellent value 'Top Plates, Low Rates' food deals, which are far and few around this area.
Pub was very busy upon arrival.
All Day Brunch with a pint of Bowman's Black Drop Stout was a very reasonable £6.28 (£4.81 with refillable coffee cup, or soft drink.) In standard priced Wetherspoons, this is £10.82.
A price that cannot really be beaten in this era of rising prices and inflation.
This pub also does between four and six rotating guest ales, and a good range of styles usually offered.
Service was friendly and prompt.
Food was well presented and cooked.
Definately worth a visit if you are...
Read moreVery good value for money this place and is quite large indoors, with a lot of outdoor seating area. For 3 main meals, which was fish chips and peas, along with lasagne, and along with ham, egg x2 and, chips, all with a drink, each came to 25 pound plus. The only disadvantage about this place I found and it's the second time I have been here. Is the parking as it's on a main road? And you have to park round the corner, either in a private car park or the Sainsbury's car park, the best and cheapest place to park. Is in the multi-story car park, and that costs 1 pound 50 for the day. I found very quick service today. On a Sunday which was busy at the time. And has a disabled toilet, along with...
