After visiting our gorgeous daughter and her equally lovely partner, we stooped by to get breakfast before the drive home. The good things: breakfast - there was plenty of it; coffee, which was very good; excellent service; a chance to speak the few words in arabic that I know with lovely Iraqi staff, and; the baklava - which is frankly amazing. The not so good really turned on the scrambled egg..... tautology though it may be to say it was very overdone, I stand by it. More like placed inside a blast furnace, while being beaten/ clubbed/ ground and diced by marauding savages with an attitude. The result, was pea-sized pencil-eraser textured pellets, which troubled even the tines of my fork. I know in the Middle East there is an historic fear of salmonella-contaminated eggs, so the method is to cremate them and anything in them to death but locally-sourced UK eggs are safe. So, please, please, please, scrambled egg should be barely set and only folded gently (not whipped) in the pan, which itself should sit on the moderate side of a medium heat, not the high side of a high heat.

Update 4 June, went back after enjoying Macchiato the first time atmosphere and staff just a good but the food was just not as good. Still much better then everywhere else in Aldershot town centre. ...... Review from a year ago ish ........... One of the only places to get a non fried breakfast in Aldershot. Atmosphere is nice and chilled, friendly staff and good food. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, you are welcomed and valued, not just a number.

The kitchen looked very clean, and the whole place was very welcoming. The chicken shawarma we ordered tasted nice, the cakes were very sweet. Unfortunately they forgot about our order, and we had to wait for a very long time. As we sat there watching other people’s orders pass the dishes looked very appetising and nicely presented. The car park time ended, so one of us had to go and add more time, that’s why I only rated them 4 stars.

Always fantastic fresh food, friendly service and never rushed. Always have a good supply of news papers. Look forward to coming here. 5 star review

Well, very sad to say that the new management don't have anything like the previous managers. After commenting that a staff member was constantly drinking a milk shake in the food area, the manager to me that this was OK. He then said that I should be greatfull that I was allowed in with my assistance dog ant it should be left outside. I explained about the rules we have for assistance dogs, all he could say was "I don't care, I'm the manager and I decide" sadly with that we left, by this time all the staff were gaining up on us. Surfice to say, we will not be eating hear again, and...

It was busy when we arrived, party of three, we were shown to a table which had to be cleared and it was. We then waited for then menu, eventually we got up & got our own menu. No sooner had we got the menu a member of staff wanted to take our order for which we had not chosen. The meal was tasty, not overly hot. We waited and ordered a sweet, mine was carrot cake, but I couldn't understand why the bottom layer was warm with melted filling and the top cold wuhh frosting intact. I then asked for the bill by this time very few customers were present. As my request was either not heard or ignored another possibly regular customer intervened to make staff aware that I was asking for the bill. Overall food good but service on this...
