Really unhappy with the service provided by Sushi Moto. We ordered through Just Eat and after over an hour of waiting, and many changes on our delivery time, we called up to get an update.
We were told that the order was right in front of them but apparently Just Eat hadn't assigned a delivery driver. I asked if this meant our fries would be cold and they just said "yes, its not our fault it's Just Eat's. You should just cancel your order and try to get a refund." Honestly its just bad customer service. I understand they cant control what Just Eat do, but if you are offering delivery you need to try to help your customers out when they call for updates, rather than just telling them to cancel the order.
A complete waste of our evening waiting for food that never arrived. Just hoping we can actually get a refund now.
Edit: Our food magically turned up after our phone call, chips were wet, slimy and cold. Chicken yakitori was cold and had obviously been sat out on a side - a genuine health and safety violation that could have made us seriously ill. Maybe this is just a one off for Sushi Moto but to put customers at risk like this is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was quite empty when we arrived for our midweek treat but we were shown to our table and soon settled in. All the staff were lovely and handled my ever boring bivalve mollusc allergy with great professionalism. We ordered a couple of cocktails and started working through the menu. We decided to share a sushi dish to start and then go for hot dishes for mains. I have to say the sushi was just lovely, so simple but so delicious! The mains arrived after a sensible pause and we ordered a bottle of wine to share which arrived promptly. The hot food was good, not quite as good as the sushi but still good - more restaurant than take away if that helps as a yardstick and for mains well priced. We then discovered there was a pudding menu too so we decided to indulge. All in all a very good experience, highlights were sushi and friendly staff. If somewhere good takes the risk to open in Aldershot they will need all the support we can give so please pop in for sushi, you won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTo my slight shame my wife and I were nervous about going to a sushi restaurant in aldershot (we live in aldershot too) but our love of sushi eventually overcame our caution.
I wish it had ages ago it was amazing!!! The sushi was delicious, the miso soup (a favourite of mine) was huge and delicious and we tried a veg noodle dish which was really well cooked, and tasty! It was just large so we didn't finish it!!
All in all, for £30 for a light lunch for 2, it was brilliant. We will be back. We will bring friends!
Note that the pic includes maki, which should have 8 on the plate, but like forest gump... I ate some...
I may have gone back, obviously only to take a more accurate picture. Yes. Nothing to do with me wanting more... totally wasn't the next day either. Ooh also tried the pad Thai. Slightly spicy...
