My previous experience was amazing . Great service followed by a great coffee. However this occasion, just wanted to grab a coffee before my meeting. Went inside with a huge expectation sadly to be ruined by one of the worst experience ever in my life. Staff was talking to each other not bothered at all. Stood there for a good min or two right in front of the counter. No one even bothered to acknowledge me. It is a basic customer service skill just to acknowledge your customer right infront of you. The guy was not bothered at all, very disinterested. If the shop was about close at least have a courtesy of letting customer know that we are now closed. I asked the guy if they were still serving coffee and to my amazement he answered back saying only serving at 530. Didn’t want to create a fuss and left the shop. Very very disappointed. Staff needs to change their attitude. You are working in a customer facing environment. Just because your coffee is great doesn’t mean customer will just come. Without doubt one of the best coffee houses in the local area…the coffee is made with so much care and attention you won’t find anywhere else!!!

A firm favourite would be the cakes available, something both my children ask for on our weekly visit & when you taste them you know why!!!

It goes without saying but I have spent countless hours in there & the staff are incredibly accommodating. They’ve give me and many others access to their quiet room downstairs to work & they welcome everyone with open arms.

Such a shame our first visit this morning was so disappointing. We were a group of 5 middle-aged women having a lovely time catching up over coffee when a member of staff came over to say there had been complaints and we needed to keep the noise down. His manner in saying it was rather rude and we felt treated like naughty children when all we were doing was chatting and laughing! We've never been treated like this in any other cafe or restaurant locally! This made us feel very embarrassed and extremely unwelcome and we left very quickly and will not...
