Attended this pub with friends and was treated with a lovely parking ticket a week afterwards. After reading some reviews this is not an issue only we have come across. The staff replied to a previous review stating āif you would have discussed this with us we could have seen what we could have doneā. My partner went into the facility and was presented with an extremely rude and confrontational staff member that seemed uninterested in what he had to say and told him to take it up with the parking company. Whilst this may be your āpolicyā thereās ways of explaining this to customers rather than coming across as rude. Due to other local pubs dealing with this issue in a pleasant manner with friends of ours i decided to call up the pub myself and discuss our situation. They have the same argument about these 9 signs that are clearly a waste of money due to nobody seeing them. Regardless of the 9 signs a parking ticket has still been issued despite us having proof of purchase. I explained to this woman over the phone that one of their staff members has kindly pointed us in the direction of where to get help and her response was āwas it ā¦. By any chance? Ill be speaking to him about this because he shouldnāt be telling you thatā. What, he shouldnāt be helping customers where he can? Why would you disclose to customers how your going to discipline your staff? Very unprofessional! I can only thank the one helpful staff member that wanted to help us and tried to despite not even being on shift. Overall the disgusting attitude and behaviour from these staff members is outrageous and how she thought it was appropriate to behave that way with customers. Will not be returning to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this place with my family tonight for Tea, we was a party of 9 but ended up being a party of 5&4⦠I realised there was no big tables to cater for this, I asked may I push 2 tables together to a girl, she was quite rude with the eye rolling but I let it slide, we sat separately and that was that, I went to order my food and mentioned my child has a allergy⦠again another eye roll and a abrupt ā what allergyā I explained celiac⦠I donāt think this lovelyš girl realised that my partner was sat at the table she decided to huff and puff and again, (seems to be her favourite thing to do)⦠Eye roll to another colleague about my daughters allergy whilst I presume letting the chefs know. We donāt eat out often as I feel a pain about this as it is, so for her to bring this vibe is actually not ok as it made me feel abit uncomfortable and a nuisance. I have ate here once before, tonight being my second time & I have to say itās made me not want to return - I will give credit where itās due & explain that the other staff members I had conversation with were lovely, I donāt know if this certain staff member was having a bad day or what but customer service training needs to be given, especially around making people feel uncomfy due to an allergy that literally can not be helped. I also think that putting tables together for larger parties is something that needs to be looked into, because I had to move 2 chairs for 2 high chairs which caused more of a health and safety issue than putting 2 tables together. However, there was two female members of staff that came across politely but unfortunately they werenāt serving us. When we received our food, he only brought two sets of cutlery and questioned one of my family members when he asked for another two as there was four of us dining. Me and my family joked about it as we found it funny but by no means is this the level of customer service you should get no matter what. We have been to other sizzling pubs in our area as we arenāt from Manchester and they have been excellent with great service.
