The Court of Requests - JD Wetherspoon — Restaurant in Sandwell

I go here often with my friends to socialise, i enjoy the wide range of food and drinks they offer, which is usual for wetherspoons, its a clean and welcoming environment. Most of the staff are very pleasant and you can have a laugh with them, some of them are quite rude and unhelpful, for example, when I go on Saturday nights, i usually order the 2 for £12 pitchers, (my favourites are sex on the beach and Tutti Fruitti) and they look amazing when they arrive as they havent been mixed yet. However, on a few occasions, i have had issues with a manager there who doesnt take pride in his work, one time my pitcher came and it looked as though everything had been slopped in with no care and when i drank it, I can be 99% sure that there was no alcohol in that pitcher, it didnt taste the same as it normally does and it just tasted like fruit juice. He was saying that there was most likely alcohol in there because we have to, i said well you try it then please. Then a few days ago, I had ordered a glass of chambord (straight with 2 ice), he comes back and gives me my drink and says its best served with lemonade... i like it straight, i plainly said straight... overall, the food is delicious most of the staff are welcoming and pleasant and its a good...

Me and my husband popped into the court of requests for breakfast when our world ended at the discovery that the cafe at sainsburys had closed down 😭. We headed in expecting it to be quiet... it was not!!! We struggled to find a seat. When we did we placed an order for the large English breakfast each (totally needed for pre festival prep) we excepted there to be a delay in the food... how wrong could we be!!!! The food came out within 12 minutes and it was pipping hot and perfectly cooked. We forget the obligatory black pudding which I proceeded to order on the app and that turned up a couple of minutes later. Absolutely outstanding for a wetherspoon brekkie!!

But in addition to the fantastic quality breakfast we were serviced I have to pass comment on the staff. They were working so hard and considering how busy the place was the tables were cleared promptly and wiped well. The did not stand still and as soon as the pass was ready to go they had the food out and on people's tables.

Though I am always disappointed with the ale choice for a wetherspoons at this pub. ( But that does not mean it's bad but just not my choice of preferred types of ales).

Plenty of seats spread out through an old courthouse and always feels nice and comfortable in here.

There is also an outside beer garden that can be a real sun trap at times.

Popular location for office workers at lunch and early evenings.

Typical wetherspoons menu for all however, unlike most wetherspoons it rarely offers "specials" where you can find food discounted.

Great staff both behind the bar and who work in the kitchen and work the floor. Always like a visit here.

Small amount of parking behind the pub do remember to input your registration details into the machine located at the bar to avoid any parking fines that will come this way.

Staff should encourage parents that the paved garden IS NOT A PLAY AREA ..... for kids to run riot or ride toys while they drink ....
