June 2025 Update. Not been for a while put last night I came back with a few friends, when we first walked in I thought it was a little strange that there wasn't many people in there but I put it down to the weather being hot.

It looks like they've had a change around in staff and the girl who served us had very little English and was struggling to understand what we were ordering.

I understand that people need to be trained, but she shouldn't have been left on her own, somebody should have been with her helping.

There was a long delay before the food came out even though there was only four 6 people in the restaurant. They brought the naan breads and chips first, I'm by the time they brought the curry out, the number of and chips were called. Two of our group had chicken tikka masala, both said it was the worst chicken tikka masala they've ever had it was very runny with no flavour.

We shared a family mixed grill and the food was dry, the fish pakora was hard and the naan bread were burnt.

One of the staff was very rude when we told them the chips and naan bread had gone cold while waiting for the curries, and all she replied was "ok".

We also heard other people complaining about the food and two other people were waiting for the manager.

I will not be coming back for a long time.

Friendly staff, nice food, reasonably priced, always making sure that you have everything you need, very clean and constantly wiping...

This place used to be amazing and used to be our local. But on our last visit today we were utterly disappointed. We ordered about £70 worth of food which we have ordered many times before. The butter chicken portion size was like a children’s size full of sauce and about 4 pieces of chicken. We ordered 3 portions of chilli chips which arrived 15 mins after our other food arrived. Bonus! It arrived hot…… but raw. The chips were still hard and under cooked and tasted like they were a few days old. The Yew Tree Family Grill was also a let down. The grill didn’t come sizzling and the onions were under cooked. The amount of meat on the grill for £19.50 was disappointing including 2 small sorry looking lamb chops and 4 half coated prawns . No salad was given and for 6 people only one portion of small sauces. I don’t think I will be retuning again unless I was kidnapped, slapped and...

EARLY EVENING VISIT , CAN'T SAY THE SMELL IS INVITING AS YOU ENTER. ULTIMATELY IT'S A PUB GUESS THE SMELL OF URINE LINGERING AT THE ENTRANCE & BAR IS NORMAL FOR SOME BUT FOR ME IT PUTS QUESTIONS ABOUT HYGIENE IN MY BRAIN FROM THE GET GO... PLACED ORDER AT THE KITCHEN HATCH NO TABLE SERVICE, LIMITED THE ORDER TO A PANEER CURRY, NAAN,CHIPS & PRAWN BIRYANI. FOOD ARRIVED HOT BUT SMALL PORTIONS. FLAVOUR HIT WAS MISSING - NO BOLD GARLIC GINGER OR INTENSE GROUND SPICES. WHILST I WAS SAT EATING I FELT IT WAS NECESSARY TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT ON FOOD STANDARDS WEBSITE 😯 IT HAS BEEN DOWN TO 2 STARS HYGIENE RATING FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS 🤢 GROSS!! NEEDLESS TO SAY I DIDN'T TOUCH ANOTHER BITE & GOT OUTTA THERE. NO SIR NEVER AGAIN (NOT UNTIL STANDARDS CHANGE TO A 5 STAR) I HAD HEARD GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE BUT HYGIENE FAILINGS ARE...

If i can give no stars i would do that for service.. spend as much and ask for an extra sauce.. the lady at the counter says i have put two each in two bags.. reach home there is none in the second bag.. talk about being stingy. Was recommended been there a few times.. not going again.. the lady was rude.. had book3d a table for sunday for my whole family cancelled it now. I am sure 68 pound of takeaway can get a 15pence extra sauce container. I think its new staff never seen the lady before. Good job you lost a customer today.. its not rocket science to be a little respectful.

7/10 for the mixed grill. Prawns were amazing, tikka really juicy and fish pakora tasty. Not a lot of sheekh, lamb chops were cremated and the wings needed to be more crispy. Had the yew tree keema chicken and cheese naan, didn’t really taste of anything. Chilli and masala trips were great. Could do with serving bigger / more dips especially with parties of 6. Venue was good, big booth with lots of teles and the usual top tier lagers on tap. Service was really good and friendly. Great value for money too. Would definitely go back if in the area.
