Either too little wait staff/wait staff not paying attention to guests. One poor lass never stopped clearing and setting tables while one enjoyed standing at the bar. Wasn’t busy for an afternoon but still took 15 minutes to get an ice cream dessert served. I’d asked if they had pickle and was told that if it’s not on the menu they don’t have it - salad cream isn’t on the menu but they had that. Weren’t offered any condiments and had wave to get the attention of staff to ask for some. Letters on menu for restrictions, VO for Vegetarian, VEO for Vegan, etc but no key on menu so still no idea the difference between GF and GFO. Or DF and DFO? Left half my food as it was too dry, mum enjoyed hers but left half as well, but neither was asked if we’d enjoyed it/if there were issues. Staff should be paying attention to guests, overpriced...

We ordered 2 steaks, one fillet medium rare, the other sirloin medium rare, the sirloin was slightly more medium than medium rare, but tasted lovely. The plates looked nicely presented. I’d like to share my opinion and explain my rating further. There is a door leading to the outside seating area, this is opening and closing constantly, which firstly, has people passing around you, and the draft coming in especially around your leg area, even on a nice day was unbearable. If you’re paying £26 for a steak plus a charge of £3 for the sauce for the steak I’d like to think I was in comfort enjoying my food. The atmosphere was lively it was busy, the young waitresses look a little lost, huddled at the till point, whilst head waitress takes down the orders. A fantastic restaurant with so much choice, gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian options for some of us with allergies and intolerances.

I got to have my 1st gluten free macaroni and cheese + honey brisket ever. Creamy, Cajun pasta on another visit. My husband got an amazing Steak pie and vegetable, all dairy free. Plus I got to have a pudding! Sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. Never been more ecstatic to eat a normal meal like everyone else and have it taste so wonderful.

The staff were incredibly friendly, the prices of everything is so reasonable and the portions are so generous. So always go hungry.

It can be a noisy environment, but it's a positive vibe as everyone is having a good time.
