Alex Dalgetty & Sons — Restaurant in Scotland

We were there yesterday for breakfast as four adults and two kids one requiring a high chair. We were put in a corner with 2 small tables that would’ve been for only 4 people for all 6 us. The high chair didn’t even have a tray. So we couldn’t sit or eat comfortably at all I don’t know how the man who was serving us failed to noticed that. The place wasn’t full at all until we left.

My scone was probably the best thing, my in laws and hubby had bacon muffins that were ok and my kids pancakes were the worst thing we ordered. A tiny 3 pancakes that wasn’t even enough for my toddler for £3.95 or something?(couldn’t check. Will be explained.)

Another problem that I yet again have on our second visit to this place is that they don’t provide an itemised bill so you can never check if things were charged properly. There won’t be...

Rude staff sadly! Lovely bakery, delicious pastries and cakes. Shame the staff, in particular a lady named Carol (her badge says Manager!) is so rude. Every time I’ve visited she is rude and dismissive, I thought initially she was maybe just having a bad day, but it’s now happened on multiple occasions. Today I simply asked if it was possible to have my pastry warmed, I was met with an eye roll and huff and told “well you have to tell me” ……I thought I was when I said “could I get that warmed please?” What a shame, as it makes an otherwise lovely bakery feel very...
