I visited this store yesterday with my unwell pregnant sister. A staff was loading items and the pathway was blocked with a crate. We waited for him for over 3mins he didn't even acknowledge the fact we were waiting. We then had to hop over a crate that was left on the path to get by which was a risk to my pregnant sister. He won't even move a little to make some space incase fell. That's not all. I also got the feeling of them being RACIST. And this is not the first time they are called this from looking at other reviews. I think they don't like darker skined people and make no effort. As long as you are black and you enter this store, you would be made to feel inferior for no reason at all. I think they need to get over themselves because we are working, educated young women and shouldn't just assume everyone is poor and here to steal from them or something. While we were paying the cashier was speaking over us to her colleague, it was clear they were talking about us! There was no smile no friendly gesture instead she was offended we were paying by cash and was acting as if we were some kind of con women! After I handed her the cash, she then asked me if I was paying by cash, she was clearly holding the money, what a buffoon! Obviously woman! You are holding the money in your hands! Then she proceed at act as if it was a problem, took her a few seconds maybe to think if she can refuse it or not, all the time speaking with another ignorant staff behind us in their language. I hope others who have experienced similar treatment would come on here to give their reviews. They are uneducated and ignorant people. I was told they act funny in the store, but I brushed it off, living in London, i go to asian stores and never experienced this backwards treatment. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE PLEASE! NOT WORTH...

Me and my wife came on a Thursday to collect meat from butchers and was told to return on Friday to collect my order. When I arrived on Friday I was told to return on Saturday which I did but again butchers meat I ordered still wasn't there. I didn't go back again. The head butcher seems to have a bad attitude and him and his co workers kinda sniggering and laughing at the fact that I came 3 days in a row and didn't get my order. That's just bad customer service. It's not a laughing matter. Not even an apology for wasting my time. I now buy all my meats from Kurdish kobane in Victoria road were prices are great and the staff are friendly and when you come for a pre order it's always there and they even shared their dinner with me on one occasion and give free sweets to my children. Most of the staff in Super Asia are decent people but the main butcher and a few of his co workers are bad apples and as you know it only takes one bad apple to spoil the cart. Actually hate going in there now because of...

I have been going to this shop for about 11years. The fruit and vegetables section is always fresh and interesting. There are still some I am not familiar with and others I've never heard of. I shop here intentionally as it sells a seasonal yellow/green mango. They are not that well known in Scotland and I am reluctant to share the scoop; I'll at least show you the box! Having said that, if the garden of eden story is to be found somewhere between the Tigris and the Euphrates then this is a contender for the forbidden fruit! ( other sources favour the fig). It has an extensive variety of spices, oils, rice and all sorts of essential ingredients for Asian cooking, fresh or frozen, including some cooking pots etc. There is also a halal butcher at the back. The staff are not that helpful and culturally there is definitely an edge. This is why I choose to go there deliberately.. perhaps as a way of honouring their traditions and supporting local ethnic stores that others may...

I went last Saturday to this shop, I bought one small watermelon for 6.95£ some tomatoes, 1 pomegranate and some Turkish delight. The watermelon was like jelly inside the most horrible watermelon I had ever seen. The pomegranate was off and the tomatoes were tasteless. I called the shop 30 minutes after when I went home after I opened the watermelon. No one answered I left a voicemail. Waiting for their call Sunday none called me. I phoned on Monday and spoke with a guy explaining the situation, he said I should have called earlier, but didn’t seem to be bothered. He said bring the watermelon here so we can see it. I live 20 miles away from their shop. End of the story this shop is very disappointed with service and products. I have put 12£ in the trash.

Good shop for asian or indian items. You will find plenty of collection including paratha, bangladeshi fish, puri, sweet, halal beef, chicken, lamb, most type of rice, spices! Often go there for these. Price is reasonable. Shop can be better organized with more space for movement of customers. Bengali pithas are unavailable (-2 star for this)!😢 But you will find different types of sweets.
