Auld Motor Hoose — Restaurant in Scotland

Consistently, incredibly rude staff. Spent 2 nights out of 3 on the island in this bar because we were worried we wouldn’t get in elsewhere due to Covid restrictions at the time. As a business owner I was utterly gobsmacked at how rude the staff were to pretty much every customer. They have a difficult job sticking to the rules I get that, but having now competed another 5 nights on our Scottish holiday I can reflect on how every other bar we’ve been in remained friendly and still stuck to the rules. The problem is this is self-perpetuating because the staff get grief in return from the customers they have been rude to (not us we bit our tongues). I’m relieved to say on night 3 in Orkney we ventured elsewhere and found a warm friendly welcome. Please don’t make the same mistake we did. I hope the management reflect on this post...

Wow. Walked in and never felt so unwelcome by a member of staff in a pub in this country or another In my life. Service was fairly efficient but felt hurried out towards closing after a very good night in other local pubs. Will not be returning with a good mindset if I ever return. Woman with blue highlights working the bar simply had 0 people skills and no consideration towards her customers along with being short and rude toward them on...

Just been into this bar....what a shambles, waited in a queue to be served for 10mins, the barmaid then served a guy sitting at the bar, and then someone that had just walked in ( regulars) I asked if there was any chance of being served, she said yes, eventually....I told her to keep it......walked down the street to another bar called st Ola hotel.....very...
