Dog friendly cafe...excellent service for them with water and a couple of treats. Really lovely waitress who was possibly the best thing about the Pomona. My husband had a poached egg on toast ( overdone) 2 x sausage ( poor quality and looked like they had been boiled ) and bacon. The condiments...cheap red and brown sauce decanted into squeezie bottles. Always a sign of possible carnage. Mug of tea was OK. I had a triangle shaped current scone. I asked for it to be toasted to be told by a very unanimated man on the counter " it's so fresh it would fall apart" It was average and trust me would not have fallen apart! Pies we had on our first visit were outstanding, so much so we had to buy some more to take over to Sanday. Full Scottish breakfasts all around on the way home and delicious. Loved the massive glass coffee cups so much we have gone off and purchased our own! Perfect, no nonsense traditional cafe as it should be. Particularly impressed with your membership of the "can't wait" campaign as a crohny .. and was nice to see members of the community from all backgrounds using the cafe as a meeting place -...

Lots of cafe's at the cathedral end of town, but all were busy to the point of being unable to get in and had expensive menus. Spotted the Pomona just by chance. Totally empty, so in we went... Lovely greeting, served quickly, and within 10 minutes, as full to butsting as the other establishments in town! My son recommends the milkshakes. Will certainly return while we are here. Great 'old school'...
