Unfortunately, I've to add a complaint to my initial review. After three years of coming here on weekends off from Aberdeen, and bringing my visiting friends & family, on Saturday 29/06/24 I was treated by two new female staff as somebody who doesn't understand English. Stopped for a quick coffee and a bite to eat during a visit to Ballater.

One Carrot cake and one Pancakes with bacon and Maple syrup with coffee.

Food is very basic, Cake was good but Pancakes and bacon not so much. The bacon looked like it had been cooked 2 days before and then reheated in a dirty pan as there was egg and white fat all over it. The bacon was hard and could have been snapped in two , not nice.

Service was dreadful!! To start with they served us the wrong order, which would of been fine if it was not for the argumentative nature of the lady working there. After finally being served what we ordered originally (which was burnt) she said "are you happy now!?" Disgusting way to treat customers. I can see why the other coffee shops were busy and when we went in to this place it was quiet despite Ballater being very busy in its self. Do your self a favour, GO TO ANY OTHER...
