We had a mid morning break here, coffee and scones for some breakfast for others. The small full breakfast was available as gluten free including toast and even the black pudding! Small was more than adequate even fur a serious walker. The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon was lovely eggs just right and lots of smoked salmon and thick cut toast. The staff are friendly, competent and manage well even with the Covid restrictions. If you need to warm up there's a table right beside the stove - recommended! although we were very comfortable at our table. Nice clean toilet! One way system means exiting through the shop, and a chance to browse. There's lots to see and do in Ballater and autumn colours are...

Great place with friendly staff and great options!

I had a really nice experience at The Boothie. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. I especially appreciated the wide selection of milk alternatives – they offer oat milk, almond milk, soy milk, and even coconut milk, which is great for people with dietary preferences or allergies.

They also offer food in takeaway boxes, which is really convenient if you're on the go. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get, and everything felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared.

Definitely a place I'd recommend – cozy vibe, good food, and...

Decided to stop here for a post ride lunch after seeing the google reviews. Service was extremely helpful and professional. We were immediately given our hot drinks and the cakes while the ciabatta's was made. Unfortunately with the wait for this food the drinks were long gone or they'd have been stone cold. I think a better idea would have been serving everything one everything was ready. The ciabatta's were nice, the salad was unfortunately drenched in a dressing that was not to my taste at all. The cakes were alright but wouldn't make me come back desperate for more and with a sweet tooth, it's all...

Excellent cafe, reasonably priced, good fresh coffee and nice menu selection. I had Chinese medicine soup, spicy chicken broth with Chinese vegetables and BBC sandwich(bacon, brie, cranberry) the second soup choice was a more traditional minestrone. Spicy and tasty. The home baking was no frills but freshly baked on site - tried the brownie, Victoria sponge and carrot cake all perfect. There were 4 young kids in are group, a little unruly but we were received and treated well. Cafe was busy (Saturday) but we brought two tables together with a 5 minutes wait to do so. Really friendly staff and contactless payment.

On entry, it was find your seat, choose from the menu then go make your order and pay . Then your order gets delivered to your table. It is help yourself to table water if you so desire. For a small cafe it has 2 toilets, one spacious enough for the disabled. The panini was tasty with thick slices of Brie cheese. Mask wearing is still mandatory with hand sanitisers handy and a one way entry and another to exit .

Lovely place to take a relaxing break for coffee and cake. Nice tasty selection of cakes, with a few flavours I hadn't seen before and prices were average for drinks and food. There is also a souvenir shop attached although those prices are rather on the high side aimed at tourists only. The staff in both parts of the premises are all very friendly and helpful. Parking is easy and free in nearby car park.
