We visited this premises whilst on the way back to Glasgow from a day out at Loch Lomand. Whilst it was our intention to eat there, unfortunately it was a Monday and the kitchens were closed. We did stay for a drink but it turned into several due to the hospitality of the general manager Bryan. He made us so welcome and he was so friendly and informative regarding local spirits, a trait that you don't come across that often, whilst at the same time being attentive to other customers. I understand the premises are now under new management and prior to this they reputation was not great having spoken to others who had used it in the past. Although I was staying with my nephew in Glasgow but now back in England, I will certainly be back at this establishment on my next visit and will make sure its when the kitchens are open. On a final note good luck to Bryan and staff In making the 55 bar and grill a warm friendly place and we wish you much success in the future. Cheers Val & Tracy Service: 5/5 | ...

Despite the poor service we will return, good...
Read moreReally amazing. They definitely have new ownership which is doing the right thing.
Every cocktail has a different name I think to normal but they are delicious. I don't even drink really but I was trying my partners and I ordered some mocktails for myself because I didn't want to miss out.
Partner rated the vegan breakfast very highly, I tried a bit and the mushroom was lovely. Fish and chips was great, albeit I wish I had a bit more tartare sauce (I am sure if I asked then they would've provided, I'm just not a fussy person)
Overall, wholeheartedly recommend - not that expensive either, lunch, two cocktails, a couple half pints came to about £50...
