I was very excited to learn that Kaf had opened up in Bearsden, having been to the original cafe in Partick when we were still city-dwellers. We have been there twice already this week, and while my bank balance is probably not enjoying having such easy access to this great spot, my taste buds certainly are! The coffee is delicious and as good as anything in the West End, and they have a great selection of cakes. I am a big fan of olive-oil based cakes, and Kaf have two to choose from at the moment, both of which are so tasty. The shop itself has some really great stuff too, from interesting nut butters, chocolate, cereals, cheeses, dips, sauces and dressings. Read moreThis is a hidden gem in Bearsden. I went in for a coffee and bought a pain au chocolat on a whim and I’m so glad I did. It was on par with some of the best I had when I lived in France. I’ll be back to try all the baked goods offered.
The store is incredibly well put together and supplies some great specialty grocery items and reusable goods. My only wish was that they were open earlier and more often, but that’s the best...
