Burger King — Restaurant in Scotland

Absolutely shocking and appalling service.

I went to Burger King in Linwood this evening with my partner and 2 kids.

Upon entering Burger King all the tables were disgusting and had to be cleaned by myself.

I then proceeded to order myself and my families order but when going to the counter there was no system or process with confusion who was still to order/who had already ordered.

After a lengthy wait as staff didn’t know who had ordered already either I placed my food order and proceeded to wait at the counter.

After a 20minute wait and watching staff clearly not have a clue who’s order was who’s or who’s order they were still waiting on I was asked on 3 separate occasions what my order was to be told they had shouted but I hadn’t came up for it which I had to explain I hadn’t left the counter and this was a lie.

Finally after receiving my order after 35minutes in a so called “fast food” restaurant, the food was not great and didn’t taste fresh but like it had been microwaved (this infact happened to another customer who witnessed his food being microwaved).

My juice was not great and informed staff the gas needed changing which never happened either.

Not an apology or offer of kind gesture given.

Just an overall horrendous experience and such lack of customer service.

No wonder people go...

This BK store has recently undergone a mini refit, it has had it's branding updated to match the corporate standard.

Unfortunately the quality of the finish is not great, aluminium framework has been oversprayed silver but either dirt or corrosion was not dealt with before the paint job, the rubber gaskets on most of it were also painted making it look like a bit of a bad DIY job.

The ceiling has also been painted a dark brown, this would have been nice if previous oily marks had been removed first.

I might be called picky but attention to detail is kinda important when you are talking about a food establishment.

The food was fine, 2 vegan meals both fresh, the only minor complaint was they were a little frugal with the lettuce.

The reason for my lower score was none of the above, we visited on a quiet afternoon, there was one other table occupied when we arrived so it wasn't jumping.

Despite this the drinks machine area was very untidy, there were no lids, and there was rubbish lying on the console and on the floor in front.

I do realise that this is in a customer area but I would expect staff to be checking the area regularly.

Overall the food was good and fresh, the place just could do with a bit...

Was really busy when we went in. Eventually had our order taken then informed us that there was no chicken nuggets left. Was told that we would not be charged full price of meal as these wouldn't be included. Waited on our food for over 20 minutes and it still wasn't ready. Numerous people who had been served after myself had received their meals and also people who had just came in had been given their meals first. Got fed up of waiting for 25 minutes and asked for full refund. Was given full refund and checked the receipt to find that even though we were told we wouldn't be charged full price for meals because they didn't include the chicken nuggets we were still charged the full price. Completely disgusted we left very hungry and with a very upset 6 year old. Really poor service. Would not go back to this...
