Why did I go back to this place....even the location and approach is depressing. We rarely eat this kind of food but the kids like a treat now and then.
There's so much, so I'll just bullet point:
No milkshakes and only Coke, Fanta and Sprite soft drinks. Sounds like they want life easy.
I get Coke instead of Fanta. Fair enough, I do understand getting it correct out of such a huge variety can be challenging.
I'm told to keep the mistake, but I don't want an extra drink as it will spill. She says she is not allowed to take it back, presumably because of Covid, yet I am to show trust and take items from them? How insulting.
Despite the place being half empty as usual, I am told to wait around the front for my order. It took over 7 mins to be brought out.
Whilst waiting at the front there were two Burger King staff at a nearby bus stop presumably on a break. One of them couldn't stop coughing. They both returned to the store. Ironic, considering what happened earlier.
I also noticed at least three, possibly four delivery drivers come and go in the time it took me to get my "food". It's obvious where the priority is.
Once I got home which takes 5 mins, the burgers were stone cold with sauce only at the very centre and not spread out, the chips were hard and bland, the buns and onion rings were stale.
My stomach actually feels quite sore now and if I end up being sick I will save some of it for the hospital in order to find out why it is making me feel ill. It is actually quite challenging to write this because of how bad I feel.
Seriously, just avoid this place and don't waste your money. It's shabby and doesn't look well looked after. The food quality is abysmal, the service slow. Most of these type of places have gone downhill over the last ten or so years, but this place in particular has always been poor and unfortunately it has actually managed...
Read moreBurger King as a brand has definitely improved. Great tasting burgers, fresh lettuce and tomatoes and some nice crispy onions. Fresh brioche roll too. The fries did taste like they had been reheated. The fries come unsalted which is good so you can salt to taste. The cold drinks are provided via a coca-cola freestyle machine which gives you usually plenty of choice however the machine advertised a drink which wasn't served in this restaurant and the whole freestyle range wasn't available which was a shame but apart from that, the Coca-Cola tasted good. The restaurant was very quiet for a Thursday at 7pm and staff were standing around by the tills when we came in which was a shame given that the restaurant was dirty. The toilets were dirty with an unpleasant smell and they looked very clinical given the large amount of white. The two sinks had one push tap each which gave out cold water at a dribble and if you used both sinks the dribble was even worse. It was a struggle to wash your hands. Overall, much of an improvement to Burger Kings past poor performance and the...
Read moreToday I went into BK with my mum and niece. When I tried to order at the tills I was advised that the tills are no longer in use so I would have to use the machine instore. I advised the staff member that the item I wanted wasn't showing so asked if I could order it at the till, again he said no. I said it wasn't great service. He said not everything is available to order so to choose something else. I explained that if I ordered it via the app then I could collect instore, he shrugged his shoulders and walked off.
I then went outside and ordered via the app. To my surprise when I went into collect it there was a police officer telling a staff member the item he wanted wasn't showing, the staff member said no problem I will put it through the till for you.
I asked why my order was point blank refused and was told that is what they are told to say to customers. I advised that all customers should be...
