I come here often as I regularly shop nearby. There is always a wait but I've never really bothered. Anyway, a couple weeks ago I went with a party of four. I ordered a cold drink and the others had coffee. I waited 25 minutes for my drink, while the others had finished their coffee. There were folk coming in who obviously knew some of the staff by name. They were being served first while I waited for mine. I finally cancelled the order and asked for a refund. To their credit, they finally finished making my coffee during the refund process and gave me the drink as well. More than 30 minutes had passed since I had made the order. I was in again today. We waited more than 20 minutes for two lattes. If you're thinking of popping in for a 'quick' coffee, don't. If you didn't need a coffee when you entered, you'll definitely need one by the time you leave. Terrible service. Loads of staff milling about aimlessly like headless chickens. Maybe try concentrating more on the folk waiting inside instead of prioritising the drive through. I won't...
Read moreWe arrived at 7.35 pm. The place is supposed to be open until 9.00 pm. It was filthy with loads of cups, saucers and paper lying on four tables . I asked why all this was lying around and the guy said they had been short staffed today. The place was nearly empty and suddenly one of the three staff who we're standing doing nothing went out and cleared and cleaned the tables. The floor was a filthy mess too with lots of crumbs, paper and even wooden cutlery lying about, untouched. In what looks like a deliberate attempt to discourage customers from going into the place, the staff actually had most of the chairs upturned onto the tables so you couldn't even sit at them! Really poor show Starbucks. Looks like the staff don't want to be there and it's a really bad advert for your company. Maybe an idea to do some random checks as the staff really are letting the Company down. So much for bouncing back from...
Read moreI just passed my driving test and decided to celebrate with a visit to my regular Starbucks drive-through — and what a heartwarming surprise I got!
One of the lovely team members (she had beautiful braids — I didn’t quite catch her name!) noticed I had just passed, and went out of her way to make me a wee celebration bag with cake pops that said “congrats” on them. It absolutely made my day and meant more to me than she probably realises. That kind of thoughtful gesture is so rare and so appreciated.
I visit this Starbucks regularly and have never had a bad experience. The staff are always friendly, kind, and welcoming, but this moment really stood out — it turned a great day into a truly special one. Thank you so much to her and the whole team — you made me feel seen, and I’ll...
