Wonderful staff Great coffee and scones. Unfortunately our visit was completely ruined by an other customer who asked repeatedly for my pup to stop barking. He stood over our table in our personal space and continued to tell me to stop my dog barking. I explained he was a puppy and very excited and that i had brought treats for him to keep him occupied. He could see the chew treat on the floor. The man repeated his request for me to stop my puppy barking and so I asked him if he could help me stop the barking and he replied “it’s your dog”. I kindly explained that we were in a dog cafe and perhaps he could visit a non dog cafe next time instead. He persisted and it was obvious that this man was a bully and felt entitled. He then approached the waiting staff and asked for them to stop my puppy barking. This was an unfair and unrealistic ask of them. They explained that it’s a dog cafe and dogs bark here. He continued his campaign of harassment despite staff speaking to him politely. He used intimidation techniques by staring at us and whispering to his friend whilst still staring at us. Very unpleasant and...

This place is great to visit, ended up going for breakfast after a nice cold walk during the winter freeze.

Thankfully it was a dog friendly spot so was able to go inside, took a menu and was greeted by friendly furry friends after sitting down.

Chose to go for the 10 item breakfast, 3 pieces of bacon, 3 hash browns, 2 eggs and 2 sausages with extra bits of toast and a large caramel latte to go with it.

Went up to order and I will admit the one thing that would have made the experience better when ordering was a bit of friendliness or even a smile.

Upon receiving the food, there was something missing (not from my order) but the actual food was very tasty, the missing star from the rating was due to the portion size and even after ordering a 10 item with extra toast, it didn't satisfy me. The large caramel latte was also very good in taste and aesthetics.

Atmosphere was good due to the customers in, most were very friendly as a lot of people are in Ellon.

Overall, I'd recommend the café, especially if you're out on a walk...

Unwelcoming staff. Food cold, over cooked and overpriced especially as the ingredient used are poor quality. Manager unpleasant and hostile. Male cooks attitude obnoxious and rude. Menu basic, boring and never changes. Nothing for the dogs.

As the owner has implied a ban I will presume the treatment I received in the cafe was from some form of prejudice perhaps due to not being local Proof being other people have left truthful.similar negative reviews and been apologised to. Set up cheap and nasty, menu boring and basic no loss but non local customers if this is the way I am treated please beware of visiting this shoddy probably won't last long establishment! I will enjoy much better local establishments as the owner has told me to do pathetic.honwat criticism.cant be taken...

Really lovely place, very well decorated and friendly staff. The panini and wrap was fantastic, really tasty and decent for the price, could have done with a bit more filling than just a couple or so rashers of bacon but maybe I’m just greedy! The pancake was a slight letdown and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. £5 for a giant pancake and 60p for each topping hereafter (such as jam, nutella etc). Although it was a huge pancake and tasted like it’d been freshly made, still thought this was pricey £6.20 for a pancake with “berries”, and whipped cream (see photo). All in all a pretty good experience though, very nice friendly place for lunch, will go for one of the fine looking cakes next time instead of a pancake 😊

Cute little cafe on the river, multiple plant milks available (surcharge) and some vegan cakes bought in. Vegan cheese available on some of the menu offerings too. Same jug as dairy milk used for coffee (just rinsed out) so would need to say if allergies involved as cross contamination occurred without saying. Coffee was nice, regular take away was standard size and was hot. Will be back to try a toastie!
