The Gaff Ellon — Restaurant in Scotland

Wow what a great experience! My 2 sisters and I were heading to a ceramic paint class but wanted to eat here for supper beforehand and so glad we did. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and of high quality as everything tasted so gorgeous. We went for the garlicky, salty, buttery balls for starters which were so flavoursome. We then shared 2 large pizzas - one with salami and mushroom, the other with chicken, pancetta and red onion. The flavours were incredible. We also went for the smores pizza for dessert. To top it all off, we were delighted with the price and thought it was worth every single penny! Mike was also so good at communicating through Instagram messages with any questions I had. The other members of staff were so lovely and professional at their job. The atmosphere was honestly so chill. The little touch of dominos to play on the table was cool. I was cycling though Ellon and seeing the amazing reviews I had to give this place a try!

As an Italian, I can confirm the pizza was absolutely top notch! The base (the most important part of pizza) was absolutely outstanding according to Neapolitan standards, properly cooked and very easy to digest. What you often find with Neapolitan pizza is that it isn't cooked long enough and it can be difficult to digest - not the case here! Toppings were also marvellous - amazing quality. And so was presentation of the dish!

I was a bit lost in deciding myself which ingredients to put on the pizza - I would have preferred to see more ready-made combinations (some were available but only for lunch :( ). But that's just me, and doesn't take away from the five star PLUS that this place deserves!

Also, staff was so so nice and kind! I hope to be back one day! One of the very best pizzas I've had...

First impressions of the shop - Clean, smart, smells amazing, nice music, very friendly staff and prompt service!

Absolutely fantastic pizzas!

We gave it a try for the first time tonight and were blown away.

All of the toppings are delicious and taste fresh!

The addition of fresh basil on the side is a great touch!

The base itself is very tasty!

Finally, Ellon has a decent pizza place! I think this place will be a local favourite!

Try the  "Ritchie's Pi" with Garlic Aioli, you won't be disappointed!

Back again to try the 16" New York with the best pepperoni I've tried. Thick cut, really nice flavour! Also had the 9" garlic bread, equally tasty! The Smoky BBQ sauce is better than TGI'S and had to get extra Garlic Aoili to last...
