Strategically placed Costa Coffee shop in Clarkston just 25 +/- mins from Glasgow . Clearly a meeting place for many locals though. Sadly it is surrounded by at least 7 charity shops which, although serving a purpose, shows it's lacking a fresh Butchers, a grocery shop and a focused bakery shop as examples. The decline of services for those who really need them. I visited all the charity shops buying some items needed at home. I was truly impressed by the overwhelming friendliness of all I met. It wasn't particularly busy during the few hours we were there and despite there being 3 members of staff on, not one attempt was made to clean up the messy tables or mess on the floors left by others.
