Dollar's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Scotland

Really disappointed that although there is an expectation that a queue is formed at the deli counter (I've been popping in for a few years but not usually during school lunch break), it appears this expectation can be disregarded if there are school students in a queue and adults can just march to the front. Waiting my turn at lunch time today I witnessed 2 teachers just walk straight to the front expecting to be served next, not taking note of anyone else that was already waiting in the line. I find this a poor example to set in front of their students and conflicts with their school's values. When I raised this with Dollar Academy's Rector, his response indicated that the delicatessen staff routinely call adults to be served first (so in essence it's not the teachers' fault for pushing forward, that's just what the shop encourages). This was not the case on this occasion (i.e. deli staff didn't call them forward from the end of the queue) but if the shop is to operate a discriminatory system they should have signs indicating there are two queues, one for students (to wait longer) and one for everyone else. I personally think this is unfair and is not a good example to give younger people however their deli their rules - they should just make those rules clear to all customers to avoid chaos, bad feelings and manage service...

I eat out of this place on a regular basis every day at lunchtime, the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly, it's probably one of my favorite spots to eat at whilst were working in the area , I absolutely love the Gypsy cream biscuits as well I am actually addicted to them as they are that good, but yeah I will always continue to eat here and I will strongly recommend the place to...

We hired Jo to cater a family event and we were absolutely thrilled with the service and food provided. There was a large selection of food available to order (lots of meat and veggie options which was great) and it all came in easy to use and stylish serving dishes.
