I ordered a pizza at 10:24 on 8/7/22 for delivery at 6:15 to 6:30 from the Tranent store on the app, a few minutes later I am called by the shop saying that I will receive an email to rate my experience and get a free medium pizza, nothing about my order. At 6:28 on the tracker it said my pizza had been delivered when it hadn't, a few minutes later I called the shop and said I hadn't got it the person answering mumbled something about that it may have been marked as accidentally as delivered or because they couldn't make the slot? and to wait for a few minutes so I did. 11 minutes later (or at 6:40) I called again and it was the same person who answered and asked for my address once again and he said for me to wait for a second so I did, he transferred me to who I later found out was the manager, he said hello and then are you there, I said yes after a moment of hesitation and he said if the line wasn't good to call off and call back? Which was slightly rude and then he said the driver should arrive in a minute. Another 14 minutes later (6:54) I called again and said that I had already called twice and my pizza still hadn't arrived and a woman answered this time who spoke clearly and said she would transfer me to the manager who said sorry the pizza hadn't arrived and I would receive a £10 refund and they would make another pizza and send it out asap. At 7:14 I called again but it arrived as I was calling. At ~7:15, 45 MINUTES after my delivery slot I had my pizza and the "contactless" delivery was the driver handing my pizza to me. Read moreOrdered a medium pizza for collection (the £5.99 offer) online, was given a time frame of 10-15 minutes which seemed reasonable. Well that time had passed and it was still stuck on prep, then when it hit the bake it gave a time of 8 minutes, seemed reasonable. It was another 20 minutes before it moved to collection. Went in to collect, had no acknowledgement from any of the staff I may as well have been invisible! My name was showing on the screen as ready, but nobody seemed to be paying any attention to it, or the people stood inside waiting. Five minutes later, my name was no longer on the screen and eventually a young woman asked if I was Stacey to which I said yes, and was handed my order. I literally could've been anybody, no checks to confirm I was who placed the order - anybody could've walked in and claimed to be me. Fortunately it was the right order, it was hot, and tasted as decent as you can expect from domino's but I don't think I'll be going back there again any time soon - customer service was non-existent, and having to wait near 40 minutes for a medium 2 topping pizza is ridiculous. I was told to mention this when collecting and it would be given to me however when I arrived at the shop I was told that this was not the case and it was basically tough and I had to pay for the pizza but they would not give the garlic bread. The man on the phone was so rude, abrupt and and I could hear him speaking down to the girl who had given me the incorrect information.
