GET STUFFED — Restaurant in Scotland

So we're having a kitchen replaced and on our 2nd week of takeout and thought we'd try new places. Tonight was Get Stuffed.

I'd say the best things were the prices/value for money and that the quality of the ingredients for the burgers seem to be good (not the processed ones you get from mcds and other takeaways). We got the double combo box with 2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 sides and 2 cans of juice.

There are some minor points I'd like to give the restaurant in feedback though (which they are free to do with as they wish as a lot of the feedback is personal preference) but overall, especially for the price, we can't grumble and would return. They're not going to be winning any awards, but they definitely have potential to be great (in my humble opinion anyway). And tbh, you can't expect Michelin quality food from any takeaway.

The burgers were greasier than expected. If you rest them on paper towel/kitchen roll then fold it over and press down on the top, it should make for a more appealing burger and stop things sliding around as much. It was only the beef burgers though, the rest were fine. So not sure if it was just a one off oversight.

In our opinion (we had half of each, since it was first time ordering) the burgers could actually be a bit thinner and more cheese. We didn't really notice the cheese because there was so much burger! Gouda or emmental make a nice cheese for burgers (pretty much anything except cheddar tbh since its a very greasy cheese and burgers are naturally greasy already).

The ability to add/remove ingredients would be nice without having to call (ordered via just eat) for fussy eaters or those with allergies. I think the features do exist as I've seen other places using them. Just a thought.

Chips were good, cooked through but not overcooked. Nicely salted too - thank you.

Sides I felt were a bit of a let down quality wise (mozzarella sticks and nuggets) but again, for the price it was a good deal. Perhaps there's a low cost option that would be better quality though?

I'd also like to see some dessert options. Even if it's a slice of caramel shortcake or fruit pot or something simple. Doughnuts and a dipping sauce.

Lastly, the message and smiley face was a nice touch but love heart and kiss was too far for my personal tastes. I find it unsettling when a business uses hearts or kisses. But then I wouldn't do hearts or kisses to just anyone so maybe its just me/im getting old.

Anyway, they are good value and miles better quality of burger than elsewhere. With a side order of chips, that box we got could have fed 2 adults and 2 children. So for £22, it is a really good deal. Heck even for 2 adults it's a really good deal (just very filling lol).

If the sides were a bit better quality and food a little more presentable, we'd actually pay quite a bit more/it would be restaurant quality (and a good restaurant, not brewers fayre or...

Absolutely atrocious, the food was low to mid tier, order at 5pm and received the food at 9pm because the order was delivered to a similar address keep in mind not identical but they managed to mess that up, then we had to deal with trying to contact staff to see what was going on and that took half an hour of going back and forth.

After contacting and then being told it was on its way they had the audacity to say that it will be even later because 2 folks orders were in front keep in mind yet again we had ordered 1:30 to 2 hours before these orders.

After this we were told to enjoy our food and we would get a free meal. We had been contacting through Facebook, they then proceeded to leave us on read after we had requested our meal at a later date, it’s horrendous all round, I could stress enough it’s not worth the time, effort and money, will...

I recently ordered from Get Stuffed under their new management, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! I opted for the Stuffed Scotsman Burger Meal with a drink, along with Sticky Honey boneless wings, and everything was spot on. The portion sizes were generous, and the food tasted absolutely fantastic – everything was cooked to perfection.

What really stood out, though, was the delivery. The delivery person turned out to be one of the new co-owners, and he was a really friendly, down-to-earth guy, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It's clear that they're committed to great service and quality.
